This is a targeted email campaign by Icebreaker - last week they sent out an email inviting customers to participate in a "Sheepstakes".

If the customer follows the link in the email, he/she gets one of 5 coupons:
for either a free top (no purchase required), free socks (no purchase required), free 2-day shipping on an order, 50% off the entire order, OR 20% off the entire order.

Obviously, the free top coupon was probably the rarest.

Additionally, if the customer forwards his email containing his personal code to his friends, each friend will get one of those 5 coupons, and the person who forwarded the email gets another coupon for each of those friends who clicks the link. This adds up quickly - the original person collects a lot of coupons!

I did this myself last week and not only did I get a coupon for a free Icebreaker wool top (I chose a free top that was well over $100, and it looked like even the jackets at $199 were available with the free top coupon), I also got several coupons for free socks, for 50% off my order, for 20% off my order, for free shipping.

The friends I forwarded my email to also got great coupons, but no one got a free top coupon but me. Several of them have used their free socks coupons. No other purchase is required, although the s&h is about $7. Some of them did buy something in addition to the socks, some of them didn't.

Because this is targeted to individuals, there is no general link on their website that I can put up (the generic link without the individual details goes to a dead webpage).

I am amazed that I got a free item that was well over $100, and am grateful to Icebreaker for that.

Because it would benefit me personally to post my personal coded link here, I won't do it.

[I noticed tonight that someone posted his personal code on retailmenot.com, but I imagine that Icebreaker has been deluged by requests under that personal code and probably has stopped sending out coupons related to that personal code.]

The reason I'm even posting this is to say that if you got an email from Icebreaker late last week, and just ignored it figuring it was an ad or something, this offer is what it's probably about, so if you still have the email, it's well worth the 2 minutes it takes to open and see what coupon you've received.

Icebreaker wool is totally amazing. I live in it each winter. I'm not kidding - right now I have 3 separate articles of clothing on made from this wool - head to toe. Love it. It's so non-scratchy, so warm, so long-lasting. It can be expensive, but I've bought most of my items from Sierra Trading Post at more than half off, or at sales at other sporting goods stores. My favorite pieces are the ones I've had for 5 years - they are still in great shape.

Is there anyway you can send me your link please? I deleted mine think it was junk.

As I wrote above,
