About a month ago I got an email from Sprint saying I'll get a free month of service if I sign a new 2-year contract. Now I just got an email saying I'll get a $50 credit on my account if I renew. Anyone know if there's another better incentive to come if I wait? I don't want to risk it and miss out on $50. Hopefully someone here has been through this and knows what's to come
Thank you kind sir!! I now have a $70 credit and still have my $150 handset discount. They responded within a couple hours... it must be the smiley!
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am happy to assist you with the $70.00 service credit.
We keep offering different promotions to our customers on timely basis. Your account is eligible for $70.00 service credit. Also while renewing contract under $70.00 service credit, your account Handset Upgrade Rebate eligibility will not affect.
Your phone has qualified for all the rebates including the $150.00 instant rebate. You can buy any phone at the online price which is equivalent to the cost of activating a new line.
I have renewed the two-year contract on the line XXXXXXXXXX and applied the credit of $70.00. This credit will reflect on your next invoice (December 12, 2009). After the adjustment, the account has a credit balance of $70.00.
The new two year contract period is November 22, 2009 – November 21, 2011.
We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Please reply to this email or visit Sprint.com/mysprint if we can be of further assistance.
Sincerely, Edwina K. Sprint

I read that if I were to renew my contract that expires in a couple weeks, I could have a $70 credit placed on the account - while not losing the $150 handset upgrade discount. If this is true, I would like to renew my contract for another 2 years and receive the $70 credit. I want to make sure I get to keep to $150 handset discount so I could use it later if I wanted to. Thank you for your assistance!! =============================================================

That's 'kind lady,' if you don't mind
Glad to hear that you got it, that thread hasn't been updated in a while so I wasn't sure if it was still available. Great news!
I wish I saw this before renewing my Sero a week ago. Earlier posts implied that getting $70 credit disqualified you from $150 discount and I needed a new phone.

It does disqualify you, unless you get written approval to keep the $150 credit it seems. Some have reported that the the $150 discount is not immediately removed from your account after getting the $70 credit, and being able to purchase a phone with it quickly if they sign into their account and purchase online. I would prefer to find a CSR who agrees to both give me the $70 credit and purchase a phone through them so that they could immediately apply the $150 credit... and to get that they are giving me both credits in writing. I'd hate to find that the $150 was later charged back to my account because I lost eligibility to use it.
