Overwhelming Offers - Redeem Points

Hopefully someone here has some experience in this.

I just reserved the WalMart deal where if you spend 199 you get 10,000 points ($100). After reading more into it (I know read before clicking) it looks like you get points which are not redeemable for a lot of things if you are a red member.

Does anyone have experience of what you can do to cash out besides paying $30 to be a black member?
