So I was so very excited that Home Depot was offering the Makita 18v "hammer" drill/driver and impact driver combo for $199 - I hurriedly bought this thing at 7:00am on the BF morning - but was bitterly disappointed to see that this was in fact just a regular drill/driver and NOT a "hammer" drill. The model no was LCT2009. The guys at the store said that this is a typo!? - very disappointing.. did anyone here face the same ?

I'm right there with ya. We didn't hurry there or anything but we got there around 10ish. I was leery of it to begin with because I'm pretty much positive the drill in the ad is NOT one of their hammer drill models - just a regular drill/driver model. Look it up online and you can see the difference. Very lame of Home Depot... Who knows if it was a legitimate typo or just bait and switch tactics. Very lame...

Yeah, I was surprised as well. I was counting on that Hammer Drill. I went to my local HD to see if there was anything they would do. No luck. I just sent off an email to customer service to voice my displeasure. I'll see what happens?

Update:
I sent an email to the corporate which in turn sent it to my local store to deal with it. I'm meeting with the manager tomorrow morning. All he wanted was for me to bring the box. He thinks it will say hammer on there somewhere. Which of course it does not.
