Am looking for reasonably good speakers for the PC, in either 2.1 or 5.1 (preference) configuration. I've been looking at the Logitech Z 5500 Digital 5.1-CH, but $320 is a little much for me. Anyone hear of deals for these speakers, or is there a better value/performance deals in the $150 range ??

If you only listened to music, a good quality 2.1 might be preferable (although some music is available with very good surround sound). But if you game often, 5.1 is really essential. I agree that Logitech often does well- but many people would be very happy with their X-540 or X-530 models. Those are under $100 at Amazon but you may be able to get them on eBay for $50.
