Would grab it but the only shipping to Hawaii is Next business Day - $69. Also, what is "3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 (2 Dimms)"? So they have 750mb modules?

There are no 1.5G Dimms, it's 2G+1G. As for the Dual Channel designation, it's either a website design error or possibly due to Intel's Flex Memory. Since we can't verify the MB, it's hard to say for sure which it is.

Did an order 3 hours ago, only got the order acknowledgment eMail. Did another, 10 minutes ago and got that and order confirmation on it. And only the cc hit on the latter.
MsnAdmin said: Hmmm seems lukewarm, the Dell deal about a month ago (that also came with an optional mini) had better specs but was 15".
So this inspiron is for the small less-than-ultra portable market segment but with the battery life i do not know if it even does that well. (4 cell) Yes, that it is a 4 cell battery and they don't mention time is interesting. Once configured the way I wanted (one speed higher on the drive, 4GB RAM and docking station) I think it was $649, which has been an average sale price of portables I have been checking out. =( I was hopeful.

What's worst is that I paid $25.94 in taxes I still think it's a good deal though for $437.89; I really wanted a 13.3" notebook. Thanks OP.

1 Year Limited Hardware Warranty (10-14 Day Mail-In Service After Remote Diagnosis)
Wierd ... how long has Dell's 1 year warrant stated a 10-14 day turn-around time? I had an issue with an inspiron about 4 years ago and the total turn-around time was 4 days (including shipping). I own 2 Latitudes and the turn-around time on warrnaty work is next to nothing.

OK, you mail it to them, 4 days, and 4 days back to you, plus the time they have it. Easily 14 days. If they need to order parts, it cam be months..... But inhome service is not instant either.

I have another laptop and Skype works perfectly on that one. The Skype call testing service works fine for me but the other person continues to claim that the voice is choppy.
Are you doing other things at the same time, or are they? That can cause the problem. Just like with Magic Jack.
