Which ones did you choose? There are so many to choose from. I usually use the huge Hefty or ziploc bags.

The medium size one holds about 6 XL men's t-shirts rolled up. Small one is good for underwear and socks. Large is good for jeans and sweaters but haven't actually used them yet.

Do you like the etech better? I am not sure I could like it better because the mother lode is awesome.

I got the motherlode for my husband and myself .... it has more pockets to stuff different things such as toiletries and it also has the divider in the main compartment. You don't really need the divider and I use packing bags which are great! It doesn't seem like much of a difference though with the divider. The one big difference I did notice was that the Motherlode has a pocket in the back of the bag for a laptop. The area is not that well padded and you will still need a sleeve or protective covering. While the etech is missing this pocket, you could still put a laptop in the etech ... not just its own compartment. I purchased the etech for my sons as they don't need all the extra pockets. I probably don't either and will forget where I packed some things as a result! LOL! All of us have netbooks which we take with us and either bag will be perfect!
