Just an FYI CashBack not available on refurb items (of course as with anything YMMV - but I've been rejected 2x with the reason of refurb cb not allowed)
They don't seem to be reselling at a great price. Average sales price for last 3 weeks seem to be at or below the $59 Price for last 3 weeks. Although they do have internet access with additional purchase of external memory. But how much does that cost???

It is a line from a VERY funny skit by Jackie Gleason. It is when he gets very nervous when put on T.V. to do an ad for a potato peeler. Every time features of products are listed I think of that line and it cracks me up For all you younger ones who have never seen this
FYI - Sony products in general are very pro content owner rights. Ie, you can't forward movies through the opening 'Coming Attractions' or other such previews.
Sony put zero effort into packing/shipping this player. Sony literally throws bubble wrap around the player and puts it back into the retail packaging w/o Styrofoam or anything! My box showed up crushed and I'm assuming it was dropped. I'm sending it back.

Did you trying plugging it in to see if it worked?
Got mine via FedEx today, looks decently packaged with bubble wrap. Comes with remote, audio/video cable, power cable and manual. No AA batteries (needs 2). And yes it works.
You can also add the two year extended warranty for $19.99 and that takes away the shipping charge too. In effect, that would make the warranty be $12.49 for two years. I have the BX-2, Costco's version, and never have had any problem playing any disk so far in the last 10 months. I have seen the 360 still available at Sam's and Costco for $99 new as of this weekend, but that would vary from store to store.
And no, there is no Internet streaming with the 360. The 460 has it, but is more expensive, so for streaming it might be better to look at newer streaming models or appliances.
Got one plus the $20 also refurbed slim DVD player for $85.58 shipped.

Video streaming is quickly becoming an expected feature, as well it should. This is a great price, however I just tried to order and unfortunately they will not ship to APO addresses or accept payment from credit cards with an APO billing address. TO Sony, since we are protecting your right to do business in the USA, you should at least support the armed forces by allowing them to purchase Sony products from your store. Just a thought!!
