Is the coupon in an insert or in a section of the newspaper?

Bluefw said:   Is the coupon in an insert or in a section of the newspaper?

regular ad INSIDE the paper itself. on page 23 of NJ Star Ledger on Thu 5/5.

I can't stand CVS. In order to get a price that's in any way reasonable, you have to play all these games with their coupons, extra bucks, etc etc. It's complete nonsense.

so is your post, please threadcrap elsewhere.

CVS In title

If you dont like CVS why do you take the time to open the post ?

Thanks OP. Regarding the email 4/20 coupon, my personal experience is that it is usually YMMV situation, some accounts get it some don't.

yes, that is true. However, if you've registered your email with CVS and shop there on a fairly regular basis, most do get one (can be $4/20, $5/25, etc)

got one via email today.

My email offer was $3 off $15.

current ECB deals valid to Sat 5/7 are now listed in quick summary to maximize these $/$$ off coupons.

Thanks for the bump, I wouldn't have caught the direct link otherwise. This is great since my account didn't receive the email coupon! Thanks!!

The fineprint says "CVS/pharmacy will not accept offers printed from unauthorized internet postings or reproductions, copies, or facsimiles of this offer. Original coupon must be relinquished at the time of purchase. Coupon is void if copied, transferred and where prohibited by law..."

Do they not realize that you've printed it on computer paper, or do they just not care?

Since CVS placed an ad at Washington Post, I guess it is an authorized site and the coupon is a valid one.

Why do you even come to FatWallet then?

yes, perfectly legit to print from an online edition, no different than ripping it out of the newspaper. You haven't circumvented any links or rules to get it. FYI, if it doesn't scan, just have cashier punch in the numbers by the bar scan. Comes off perfectly (no beeps). you MUST spend $20 BEFORE sales tax to use the coupon. also hand it in first if you're using other manufacturer coupons with it.

This is what I wait for. I have some rain check items to buy.

I received one in my email today to get 25% off on May 7!
same same but different

Thanks MisterCheap. I love me some CVS.

note that this is directly tied to your cvs card. if you didn't get the email, the coupon will beep.

just a note:

in the past, we've seen newspapers take these down fairly quickly (sometimes due to CVS asking them to).

so it's best to save the PDF link on your computer so you can have it to print out in the event it gets taken down.

Correct and also that person needs to note that the percentage off coupons are taken off only regularly priced items (not on sale or clearance items).

But the dollar off coupons such as the $5 off or $4 off referenced in this thread will work on all items (regular priced, sale or clearance priced).

ETA: The above is true for in-store percentage off coupons. Online offers may differ and may allow you to use the percentage off coupon code on sale/clearance prices.

you didn't specify "online" in your first message, since this thread is about instore coupons, figured it too was for the B&M. no biggie! anyone can use the online codes, not account specific like the B&M coupons.

While I definitely find the coupons, extrabucks, etc to be a hassle at times, to me it's worthwhile, as I end up getting things at a very good price, sometimes free...and I didn't have to wait in line forever to do so. (Wal-Mart comes to mind)

thanks mc. used it today, went right through.

wonder if this would work all week next week too. I know it used to in the past.

Mr C, can you find some coupon for gas? It's >$4 now. And, CVS is not close though.

$3 off 3 Hallmark Cards at CVS stacks with $5/20 coupon.

Coupon was in today's Atlanta "newspaper", too. 12-pack Pepsi is three for $10, limit two. Will buy six for $20, use $5.00 coupon, plus ECB $5.00 = six 12-packs for $10.

PDF of just the 5 off 20 (so you don't waste your ink)
or click here to print directly

pianomaster said:   PDF of just the 5 off 20 (so you don't waste your ink)

That really helps. Makes it green.

Thanks for the PDF pianomaster.... the original link (& the one in Quick Summary) now point to page 6 instead of 7.

just left CVS (in northern virginia)-was told by sales clerk that the coupon 'was no good' because corporate sent out an email that they 'were being printed off the internet' I assured her it was a valid coupon and it would scan- she said she would 'check with the manager'-I looked behind me (at the line of 6 people behind me) and said 'no problem, we'll wait'...she then scanned the coupon and said 'oh, it works- don't worry about it'...I guess it depends upon the cashier and the volume of the store...

What a kewl thread! Everyone (mostly) helping everyone, just what FW posters need to get back to more often, IMO.

Thanks to OP and all who have posted direct links...much appreciated!

EDIT: tie poe

After using this and other coupons I had my total was $.08 .. I felt so accomplished

Skipping 2 Messages...
I received a $10 gift card that I used. So I guess that didn't really count. I bought the pro glide razor and used a $5 off coupon I got in the mail from P&G, as well as some ice cream, and twizzlers (I received a print out coupon at the kiosk)... So technically it wasn't that great since I had the gift card to use. But when my OOP was $.08 I was happy.
