It has been reported on SD that McAfee through its rebate processor, Parago, has started to enforce a one per product restriction on its rebates. Until this is sorted out, submitting more than one rebate per product is not advised even if the rebate has a different rebate number and different offer period. The rebate invalidation message has been reported as "Your rebate request did not pass our audit process".
--------------------
* - CONTINUING = CONTINUING means the rebate did not begin in this time period so it is necessary to check your rebate log to determine whether you have done this rebate already.

I remember one rebate or another in the past saying you cannot submit with a PO Box as your address. Does anyone know if that is a restriction on any of the current OD rebates?

I think I got the HGTV Instant Makeover last year (Novemember) when I was trying to burn up my rewards. I may need to buy this again to burn up rewards this go around. Does anyone know if there are funky restrictions like on the McAfee? Will I have any problems redeeming rebate?

A poster over on SD found the on-box rebate code for Print Artist Platinum 24 and the OP has been updated accordingly.

The OD site is showing TWO $30 rebates on this today
It is showing a price of NEGATIVE $30.01 after the two rebates.
I am not finding the second rebate - but they are advertising it as -$30.01 after MIR
Do you think they will have to honor this price....
I saved a screenshot and print of it when I ordered...

No, unless you are able to find the other rebate.
Edit:
Just noticed that this rebate goes through Nova...so a double "no"..

Can you do one of these rebates this year 2011 if you did the same rebate last year?

Rob If they have a different promotion number, then yes. However, the Iolo upgrade rebates often last several years,so if you bought one of these in the recent past, you may not be eligible for an upgrade rebate.

Generally if the promotion number is different then it is OK to do the rebate. There is at least on manufacturer where this general theory fails and that is McAfee. The goal of my OD FAR software threads is that any title listed in the "completely new" section is safe for anyone to do as the rebates are in fact new. The titles listed in the "continuing" section have at least one rebate that debuted prior to the thread's time frame.
While it is true that iolo upgrade rebates can have long lives, this one started in 2010. For rebates processed by Parago using the nn-nnnnn rebate number format, the first two digits are more or less the year the rebate debuted. So this rebate started in 2010 or so.

Even with the McAfee products, if a product is bought only once within the calendar year then generally it's not a problem, if McAfee total protection is bought in 2010 it can also be bought in 2011 if it's the 2011 version. You can also buy a total of 6 McAfee products within any year and there shouldn't be a problem, the McAfee total protection, McAfee antivirus and McAfee internet security for both single and three users giving you a total of 3x2=6.
Even with the McAfee products, if a product is bought only once within the calendar year then generally it's not a problem, if McAfee total protection is bought in 2010 it can also be bought in 2011 if it's the 2011 version.
You need to do a little more homework before posting....Myself and many others had issues with that P.O.S. McAfee cross-matching rebate entries and denying valid rebate submissions (even over different product years).
If one is looking to loose their money..go with McAfee..

respdoc,
by "cross-matching" do you mean looking at other brands of AV software (i.e. Norton) to deny you? if so, they've actually denied a rebate on McAfee 2011 title if you've gotten a rebate for 2011 Norton title? otherwise, not sure what you mean, so please confirm or explain. thnx.
ps- otherwise, how can they deny one single submission for 2011 software if the last title you got a rebate on from them was 2010 year title?

I can only speak of my experience, but even the biggest McAfee rebate bashers, never stated how they were denied a rebate for buying the yearly edition only once, in other words the McAfee rebate bashers have stated they were denied for buying the same product more than once a year, but not for buying 1 new product each year.

In my mind McAfee was the basher, not those of us that were denied rebates. That being said, I would like to know the extent to which current McAfee rebates are being validated. Is there anyone that was denied rebates in the past that has since received multiple McAfee 2011 rebate checks using a single name and address?

I have purchased 4 different McAfee 2011 products and have received each rebate I applied for using a single name and address,I purchased the single and 3 user for both McAfee total protection and McAfee Internet Security, and I definitely had some rejection and processing issues with themin the past, but ever since I contacted the bbb in LA(I think) it has been relatively smooth sailing.

Guess a better word would have been blanket denied (when my name/address/email) would come up in their system for past rebates. Even though I really didn't do that many (1 per rebate period/only 1 household/etc.) and followed all their rules, every different rebate (from McAfee) came up denied.
Since I took them to court (and won) I haven't tried anymore of their rebates..but that doesn't change the point on how shady their company is ran when it comes to these offers.

Just small-claims. No, wasn't trying to be greedy..just asked for the money back that was rightfully mine..

Sorry, the description on both products looked the same, and I have had a lot of success PM with OD.
well Avanquest is up to their tricks, denying upgrade rebate for "supposedly" missing registration card and box top on System Suite 11. I am meticulous when I send these things off, my personal feeling is they deny some rebates just to see if anyone will fight them. Unlike Parago, they are not easy to reach either (only an email option) no phone or chat that I'm aware of.
Don't mind resubmitting, but it's the principle of the thing when you know your submission was 100% accurate and there's no way it's missing said items, so be sure to check your submission status!
