Norelco is running an "Upgrade Your Shave" promotion. Purchase any SensoTouch razor within the stated dates and get a $30 rebate by mail. Amazon has the 1150x/40 SensoTouch for $79.97 (as I post this - price subject to change without notice).

$79.97 - $30. = $49.97 with free shipping and no sales tax.

Great find. Thanks OP

Thanks OP! I've been needing a new razor (or at least replacing the blades) for a year now. This will be a nice upgrade from my existing ones and has some of the best reviews I've seen for any of the Norelco's released in the past 2-3 years.

in for one! Thanks OP!

norelco rebate huh?

guess this should work with Kohls as well. they have the 1160X - 30% (w/ Kohls Card) = 74 - $30 MIR = $44 shipped

looks like none of the Kohls coupons stack on top of the 30% any longer

This will be great for No Shave November! Thanks OP!

Good find... the 1160x has better battery life and includes a travel pouch, and Kohl's is also tossing in $10 in Kohls cash on top of the 30% off.

Niceeeeeeeeee!
Thanks OP.

How does one make sure that you get 30% off Kohl's and not 15% or 20%? Thanks!

By using the correct code. Different codes produce different percentages. Check Kohl's threads.

Great deal on Kohl's, got one. Thanks.

I have one and like it. Now, should I spend $27 for replacement blades on my one-year old shaver or spend $50 for a new one? I am thinking new here.

Has anyone received their rebate?

I didn't get it, and I cannot find my info in they system

no sir, just received mailing that said it was rejected because of another offer, i.e., i guess the Amazon instant rebate, what a crock, love norelco products, but i guess i will find another brand next time, no reason for them to refuse

also rejected, where to protest?

Complain with BBB. There is a large thread going on in "expired deals". They are being sneaky- we need to flood with the complaints. Then the next step is AGs office in MA.

They rejected mine due to: Manufactuer's discounts taken at the cash register are not valid for rebate promotions. I argued with them that the coupon of Amazon was different. But they said that was still considering the combined discounts. I told them you lost one customer

Rejected. They are a bunch of assholes. Their rebate form clearly states "cash register or online purchase".

Can anyone point me to the link at BBB?

a little late to the party, not sure why took them so long to send this out. just got a postcard saying my rebate rejected. "manufacture's discounts taken at the cash register are not valid for rebate promotions". any options or idea what we can do? thanks.

I am also among the ranks of the "rejected". When I called Norelco Customer Care, I was told that they are basing the rejection upon the sentence on their rebate form that says, "May not be combined with other offers." However, that clearly means that you cannot use two rebates from Norelco on the same item, not that you cannot receive a discount from the seller and still be eligible for a rebate. In fact, the rebate form says that the "Offer is not redeemable in stores." Thus, the discount could not have been a "manufacturer's discount taken at the register," as the rejection postcard states. I asked for a supervisor and was given over to an arrogant representative who refused to listen to reason. He admitted that he had received quite a few calls from others who were rejected on the same basis. I told him that if I do not get the $30 rebate to which I am clearly entitled, I will consider filing a class action on behalf of all those whose rebates were improperly rejected, and that, as an attorney, I am quite capable of doing so. He took it upon himself to be solely responsible for the decision to subject his company to hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees to defend such a lawsuit, which will likely result in them paying all of the rebates, as well as the plaintiff's legal fees, which could potentially amount to as much as their own. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when he gets called in by his superiors to explain why he didn't even deem it necessary to refer this issue to his legal department before exposing his company to liability and expense that could reach $1 million.

Let us know when and where to sign up when you file suit.

count me in, this is becoming personal. its really beyond just $30 rebate. its matter of principal. feel free to let us know if we can be further assistance. thanks. wiru

I just got my post card. the same thing "we could not honor your request due to the following reason:Manufacture's discounts taken at the cash register not valid for rebate promotions"

count me in. they owe me $30 for this and $10 for another one. both of them not even in their system after 4 months.
anyone get BBB link? not hurt to complain as well.

count me in.. Just got the post card... ;(

JerryLINY, count me in.

I bought mine through Amazon just before the coupon was available but the rebate was available. My name didn't come up in their online system in mid February (rebate submitted November), but then in late February it showed my name and a week later I received the check. So as far as the rebate timing goes, just know that in my experience I didn't show in their system until just before they sent the check.

The decision not to honor the rebate goes far above the supervisor you spoke with. He's doing what he's been told.

I don't think you have any idea what is actually involved in a class action lawsuit. Class action lawsuits take years to wind their way through the court system and hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring to fruition. Case in point:

This one is going on nearly 5 years without a trial yet.

You are better off filing your own lawsuit. That's what I plan on doing to recover my $30 from Philips. Many of the people in the above mentioned thread did the same thing. Good luck to all of us.

I have the 1160 I got from Kolhs last fall for $45. It's the worst elec. shaver I ever owned. If you have more than 8hrs of beard growth it doesn't shave all the hair, leaves stubble behind. Even with useing it with elec. shave lotion or shaving cream (which the 1160 does) it still doesn't work. My old elec. corded $30 Norelco razor worked much better.
So don't feel bad if you don't get one.
