Office Depot FAR software for the Black Friday sale 11/25 and 11/26
While the Black Friday ad listed nine free after rebate (FAR) titles and one $9.99 after rebate title, all but one of these titles started their rebate period this past Sunday. The only new title for BF is QuickBooks® Online Simple Start, Online Service.

It has been reported on SD that McAfee through its rebate processor, Parago, has started to enforce a one per product restriction on its rebates. Until this is sorted out, submitting more than one rebate per product is not advised even if the rebate has a different rebate number and different offer period. The rebate invalidation message has been reported as "Your rebate request did not pass our audit process".

I purchased Norton,McAfee,AVG and Kaspersky FAR security software. Every rebate form that printed from the cash register had an error of some sort. I had to call the store and get them to email me the actual manufacturers rebate forms (7 of them) to make everything work. Be careful FYI !

Note that in addition to now having to register the software to get the rebate, the rebate form also states:
rebate form that printed out of the register said: limit one rebate per person, company, or address per year.
That is an ominous addition to the fine print that I have not seen on Intuit rebates before.

That is an ominous addition to the fine print that I have not seen on Intuit rebates before. That limit has popped up on Intuit rebates every now and then for several years. If it means one rebate per title per year, it has never been enforced.

So I opened the package, registered it and called them this morning...now they are saying, the system won't accept my company ID because I registered AFTER the rebate was submitted. I explained again...the form didn't even say it HAD to be registered; so she entered notes in the record, and told me to call back in 7-10 days for a resolution.
