Why is this a good deal? There really were very few changes in hardware from the old Nook Color to the current one, as I remember. Aren't B&N going to distribute software upgrades?

So they are paying customers $50 for their old one. Some People did paid the full $250 for the original ones. The cheapest so far have been $120. People have to spend another $250 and surrender their old ones. At the end this seems to me like a $450 transaction.

This is what Barnes and Nobles refers to as the 1st edition: It is their very first black and white e-reader. They are not talking about the Nook Color.
