I just checked the status and it still says processing. I submitted about 24 hrs ago. My question is will I be in "processing" for quite some time until they mail out the AMEX? Or, is this the step that the rest of you are claiming you were "approved?" Is there another stage where I go from processing to approved? You should receive another email (very soon) from Advance Auto Parts Customer Service that says "Rebate Processed". I'd try checking my Spam folder and, check the status online to see if it has been updated. Also wondering, did you use the actual pickup receipt Store/Register # or "Store #1020 and Register #1"?

I did 2 so far. first one was end of Dec & got the approval email within 24 hours. second one ( different weight oil) was submitted a couple days ago, I just checked the status, still showing under review.
I have to imagine that a lot of people are jumping on this in last few days and probably slowing things down a little. I think getting approved within 24 hours was the exception, not the norm

There is one more notification prior to the mailing of the AMEX card. You should soon get a email with the subject "Rebate Processed" which should start out something like:
We are pleased to inform you that your rebate has been processed and approved on xx/xx/2012.
You should receive your reward card within 5-8 business days. Please contact us if you have any additional questions.
Below is the summary of your rebate registration information: ...
oops. Didn't see the similar responses before I posted this. Sorry. FYI, the one I did yesterday was approved within 24 hours so I did a couple more today, this time ordering the 5x1qt deals. For all of mine, I did enter the actual pickup store number and register number as printed on the receipt and these seem to be going through fine.

I just received my fifth approval. The last two were for the two purchases made yesterday and the rebate application yesterday afernoon. So, both of these were approved within 24 hours. I now have four approvals for the same name/address (5.1qt 5w30, 5.1qt 10w30, 5x1qt 5w30, 5x1qt 10w30).
I didn't notice any change in the fine print yesteray but I wasn't looking for it either. Edit: just looked at the revised terms and it does now say limit 1. Looks like this deal is considerably less sweet as a result. It will be interesting to see how the online system handles this. Was this just to clarifiy that it is one rebate per weight/size of oil or is it intended to be a new limit of one of any weight/size? Still clear as mud.

Only one (1) rebate application per envelopeI just submitted another 2 rebates (different types), and on the list it still says limit 5 on the quarts [5x$4] and 1 on the jugs, and once you submit it still says "Maximum Limit 39 Per Household". So it hasn't changed (yet), but thanks for the heads up anyways.
I had another (unexpected) problem with my pickup order(s) today from the 31st...all 3 receipts (2 oil changes+ 1 Peak inverters) were dated 1/1 not 12/31; the clerk said this was because the order enters their system (at the store) @ 4:30 AM. I called customer service AND the store before pickup, and they said it should say the the "real" order date. Anyways, I decided only to return 1 of 3 of my original [12/30] oil change since I will need the second for another $7 tearpad rebate (but won't get another $20). However, the Peak rebate also ended on 12/31, and I only have the header of a email for that order date [12/31]; I wonder if they (PFC) will accept it. Unless of course, they started a new rebate this year.

I don't know what is going on with my rebates, but, I am quickly becoming annoyed with these companies that do things on the fly!
I submitted both of my 5.1 jug rebates (different grades-same account/address) on Wednesday (1/4/12) afternoon. I recd the two sets of email I posted earlier here. I still have NO confirmation email (checked SPAM also as suggested) and it says 25 hours later (1/5/12 plus one hour after my last status notation) that my claim is being reviewed. That has been soon coming up on 3 days (72 hours) after I submitted. It seems odd to me that others have recd confirmation so quickly AFTER having begun the process after my dates while others have recd it in a more delayed timeframe after mine was submitted.
I am getting a little nervous about all of this and wanted to start and ceate the next set/different addresses etc but am a little hesitant.

I also noticed the change from limit one to five as mentioned in the fine print-but did not check for later on in the process. So my question now is, since I had planned to submit for two different jug grades is that no longer possible? I did make my purchases BEFORE they changed the limits. Or do I now need to use twice as many addresses as I had planned???
EDIT: Rebate Center is now closed, call back M-F 9a to 6p Eastern time.

This is why earlier I said that with the change, the terms are still unclear. The only thing we can do is hope that people will report back here and indicate the purchase/submission dates and how many they submitted once they get confirmation.
Regarding the time to get confirmation, I'm hoping that this is a matter of having too much info. Normally we'd all be shocked to get a rebate processed and the check or card in the mail within about a week or two because the typical time frame is 5-7 weeks minimum. However, with the online notification and communication via forums like these, we know what is going on with other people's submissions too. I know it puts you in a difficult situation with regard to making more submissions as I was also contemplating doing a couple more before the change in terms but now I doubt I'll attempt any more. So, hopefully we'll hear from others who made their purchase and/or submission after the change and use that to determine what the true limits are.

Yes, I will hold on to all product until I get my $$$! But, here is a new wrinkle I have. I decided to go ahead and enter in a totally NEW order info using a totally NEW address. I am right now at the screen where you input receipt info. I enter in my order number and it pops up saying invalid, I double checked--I entered it correctly. I then hit Previous and start from the page with my personal info. STILL, I get the order number is invalid. I already recd my first email giving me my tracking number. I may wait and call on Monday.
I think I will try entering my fourth order (new address etc.) and it had better NOT say invlaid order number!!
EDIT I tried one last time...what a GOOFY company!! I decided to enter a leading zero for the order number since my CRT shows a three digit order number, well, that did the stick...so far!

BTW, my two most recent were purchased on 1/5 which was just before the change so I'm curious as to whether anyone was able to get more than one at the same address (but for different weights/sizes of oil) on purchases on or after 1/6. As I mentioned above, I did get quick approval on the 1/5 purchases.

I am still wondering where in the wording of the rebate it says that they have to be different skus in the verbiage below:
"This rebate offer is available to qualifying end-user purchasers of a qualifying product. If any terms and conditions are not met the rebate will be denied. Distributors and dealers may not participate in this offer. The purchase date on your sales receipt, packing slip or invoice must be a date within the eligibility period indicated on the individual rebate application that you must print, sign and mail to the specified address obtained after registering online at http://advanceautoparts.4myrebate.com. Limit Five (5) rebate per qualifying rebate offer, per person, billing address, company, household and receipt/invoice/packing slip during the eligibility period, except were prohibited by law. Only one (1) rebate application per envelope. Any request postmarked or received after the eligibility period will be denied. I see "Limit Five (5) rebate per qualifying rebate offer, per person, billing address, company, household and receipt/invoice/packing slip during the eligibility period, except were prohibited by law. Only one (1) rebate application per envelope." which says nothing about sku, is it somewhere in the terms that I am missing or are we just assuming that it is this way?...
The way I read it is that we can submit 5 they just need to be one in each envelope (which does not make sense because they were submitted online) but they do need to be one per receipt to submit them individually using the online submittal process.
