Just saw this in an email from Starbucks:

Use your VisaŽ card to auto-reload your Starbucks Card with $25 or more, and we'll add an extra $5 to your Starbucks Card account.* Offer valid through January 31, 2012

*To be eligible for the $5 offer, you must sign up for Auto-Reload at Starbucks.com/Card by January 31, 2012. You also must complete at least one Auto-Reload transaction for a minimum of $25 by February 29th, 2012. You'll receive a $5 bonus load within 10 business days of your first completed Auto-Reload transaction. Only one $5 bonus per account allowed

I do not know if this is targeted because I am Rewards member. Also, I don't see information on the linked page (www.starbucks.com/card)

Archived thread from 2011 for similar deal seemed to suggest that this didn't go smoothly the last time they offered this deal. FWers had to call but did get their $5 credit.

Good luck!

Maybe this one will work: email as webpage

(see bottom right hand corner)

Need to change the title of the thread from "Cart" to "Card".

CARD not cart

Thanks!!!!!!!

thanks op. take screenshot of promo
in case you don't get your $5 credit-
for those that didn't get that email.

FYI-Tiny, Tiny print at the bottom of the promos says the bonus won't be posted on your card until the week of Feb.4th

The title also needs to read "Starbucks" instead of "Starbuck" in the title so that it comes up in a search.

Interesting that the T&C on this email says

*To be eligible for the $5 offer, you must reload your Starbucks Card for a minimum of $25 on Starbucks.com/Card by January 31, 2012. Only one $5 bonus per account allowed. Bonus will be applied to reloaded card during the week of February 4, 2012.

Doesn't mention anything about auto reload as the OP listed.

Anyone else got the email confirm if there were different T&Cs listed?

Corrected the title - thanks for mentioning the mistakes - probably neded a coffee before I posted

From the archived posting for the similar deal in 2011, there appeared to be two different but similar offers. One was for auto-reload and the other was simply for a reload. Don't know if they both will work for everyone or not in 2012. Not a lot to lose by trying this offer....

I just got this e-mail this morning from Starbucks: LINKY

On my e-mail I linked, it has slightly different text than the one VivYip posted. I'm assuming the one I received is the same one the OP received since it mentions "auto-reload"

IMHO Starbuck's coffee tastes burnt...why would you want to pay $25 for burnt tasting coffee just to get an extra $5 worth? If you live in an area that has Wawas, they are running a promotion until Feb 5th (I think) where any size coffee is a buck. So you can get a large cup (24 oz) of joe for only $1.

So you need to set it to reload if you're less than $25 or to reload $25 when you drop below a set amount?
Or both?

Thanks.

Who is this Starbuck you speak of?

If you don't like Starbucks coffee, why are you here? Live and let live.

Did anyone see the $5 bonus show up from this yet?

Nope, just emailed them. I'll let you know. Anyone else?

Still nothing for me. I didn't email though. Who did you email? Starbucks? Or Visa? Starbucks I presume since it is their promo...

I checked my card online this morning via starbucks.com and didn't see anything else show up in the transaction history besides my $25.

I emailed Starbucks via their web site. They just got back to me:

"Thank you for contacting Starbucks.

I apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused you. I have successfully verified that you met all the qualification for this promotion. The $5 bonus credit was added to your card ending in ####.

If you have any further questions or concerns that I was unable to address, please feel free to let me know or contact us directly.

Warm Regards..."

any luck from other fw'rs getting the $5 credit?

This is what I got after emailing them:

Hello Ron,

Thank you for contacting Starbucks.

I am truly sorry that you have not received the $5 credit on your Starbucks card. Visa has notified us that they are experiencing a bit of a delay with this promotion, however we can have the credit applied for you. I have added the $5 credit to you card #60609074yyyyxxxx, the new balance on your card is $55.00.

Thanks again for writing us. If you ever have any questions or concerns in the future, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Sincerely,

Althea
