DirecTV: FREE HBO Preview This Weekend (1/27-1/30) Dish Network subscribers this preview is indeed starting today on channels 300-309 for HBO and 310-314 for Cinemax.
If you’re a DirecTV subscriber, you should be able to get in on a nice treat this weekend! . DirecTV subscribers can access HBO on Channels 501-511.
Also, several other carriers (Cox Communications, Verizon FIOS, etc.) may be offering this promotion as well, so you may want to call your local provider to see if they’re participating!
Good to know it's not just me. Usually these previews start overnight so I called this morning and was told 5PM EST. The first person I talked to didn't know anything about the free preview, so I had to wait for a supervisor who gave me the information and said I should see it listed on channel 102, but it's not. Anyhow, I originally received the information in my monthly subscriber newsletter back on January 11.
my COMCAST sucks big time....6 calls to the office in 24 hours. Idiot tech "hooked my HD up" without using HDMI or even component cables - what an idiot!!

For CableOne customers this is an HBO AND Cinemax FREE PREVIEW also.
Wish they could've waited a couple of weeks, as I'm still getting it free as my "DISH Anniversary Gift" from last year. I'm sure it's this weekend to promote their new series "Luck", with Dustin Hoffman.
Showtime offered a free preview weekend a few weeks back but Dish didn't participate--I called them and asked what else they could do for me and I was given 30 days for free and 90 days of Starz for free.
