I have a Pixma MX420 I bought last year for about the same price - it's been an awesome AIO. (It's slightly nicer than this one - has a document feeder plus wireless). Uses the same cartridges as this model. I don't print much - some odd labels and boarding passes, etc. - but ten months later, I'm still on the original two ink cartridges. It's nice that they don't seem to "dry out" like my old Epson used to.
I do use the document feeder to scan sometimes - nice feature.
