Nope, it's an extra 4% (i.e. on top of the usual 1%), for a total of 5% CB .

Also, I just talked to someone at Staples.com and was told that they are not getting any more stock of the boxed AVG software. So, I added 10 downloads to my cart then chickened out because I didn't want to pay so much tax .

Ahh, ok. Last month when Staples bonus CB was 5% thru Chase, I thought I had gotten just 5% total instead of 5%+1%=6%. Thanks for the correction.

I have 4 AVG download in cart for $140 but the coupon didn't take off the case paper price, says Coupon has not yet been applied

Does not work with services like downloads. Only boxed software.

Never did work for me with boxed software.

Did you try with the Maximum Security? I tried with TM Internet Security, and it didn't work, but when I changed it to Max Security it worked. I never saw the AVG in stock so I wasn't able to try with that.

Same. For some reason, a couple of the rebate checks for internet security ($50) had "Thank you for participating in Titanium Maximum Security" on the bottom.

BTW I'm trying it with MS 1 user and IS 3 user and it's telling me I have not met the purchase requirements. MS 3 user must have somehow been coded wrong, or they fixed the coupon.

This issue is common on SD. Call Rewards. IIRC, they can link your old account to the new one.

Old Staples.com account or rewards account? I don't want them linked, then I worry that my new account's rewards will get stolen.

Just call the rewards people and explain your situation. I don't remember all the particulars.

Thanks. Two orders I placed before I contacted them don't show up in my rewards account, but the third one does so it looks like I'm all set again now. Also they claim my phone number in store (instead of scanning the card) will work with my new rewards account instead of the old one, too.

Only because you decided to post off-topic asking about your rebate that you thought was missing, which you were told not to worry about. It would make more sense to post in the thread for the actual deal since other people who did the same deal might be wondering about their rebate.

People who bought McAfee software 2 weeks ago would not be wondering if their rebate showed up online yet.

The issue was the slowness at which McAfee/Parago was processing submittals right now. It was mentioned in both this thread and the other.
And I think people who submitted a McAfee rebate 2 weeks ago would be interested in knowing how long the process is taking right now.
