Bought some Trend Micro software to use up a $25 off $100 and free box of paper coupons that my brother gave me. Staples never sends me any coupons, lol. I hit Premier, think I should really use those ink recycle limits, I bought a laser printer so I haven't any ink carts to recycle lately. Is it a good idea to buy a lot of them off the bay?

yes, I usually buy about 6 months supply at a time. you should aim to pay about .20-.30 a cart off eBay (so 120 carts for about $30-35 shipped max, sometimes cheaper. You'll earn $120 in rewards for about a $35 investment

What is the 'trick' to view second, third,...pages of Staples Rebate Site? (I know it's been posted several times, but don't do it often enough to remember). Thanks.

Just ordered 10 TM.

From Staples Trend Micro Website "We're sorry, the following item is out of stock."

Looks like myeric cleaned them out.

You still need about $3.50 of filler to reach the $50, even if you do the limit of 2 on each of the paper rebates.

Tried to order TM IS 1 user - only allowed to add one to shopping cart.

What you'd do with 10 TM? Even though it is FAR, you still end up paying $40 extra taxes which you'd never get back.

Some people want to hit premium. Others want to burn their rewards and get a check out of it. Rewards lower the tax basis anyway. Yet others live in a state without sales tax. And yet others have an AMEX Simplycash card, so their CashBack can recoup the sales tax

Some people donate to schools, church groups, etc...

Touché...well, don't I feel sheepish.

Something new about Staples gift cards that I found out today. I had 10 GCs to use today at the store. While the girl was checking out and I was handing her the 5th GC, the manage stoppped by and asked the girl "Don't you know that you can only use 5 GCs per transaction?". I was like and then the manager read the T&C in the back of the GC very quickly and could not see that limit. He then said that probably just the Staples GCs they sell in store. Anyways, after I finished my transaction with 10 GCs ($25/each from Discover Cash Back), came to the car and read the T&C carefully and here we go. I saw that limit at very last sentence "No more than five gift cards may be used per transaction". Is this limit new? This limit is really stupid I think.

It's not new, but my stores never pay attention to it. I bought 250 or so $10 GCs last year during a United promo, have been burning through them ever since. Never had a problem using as many as I want to finish my transactions. The registers certainly don't have any problem taking up to 20 or more. I'm down to 31 of my 250, plan to use 10-12 of them this week...

I wonder what is the purpose of a rule like that -- about only using up to five gift cards on a single transaction. What would it matter and why do they care how many gift cards you use? It is not for some technical reason as the previous poster used more and the transaction went smoothly.

it's for fraud protection. if an employee activated a whole bunch and then gave to his friends to use it limits the damage they can do before somebody has a chance to correct. Same reason a manager needs to get involved in any transaction over $500

FatRick said:   Tried to order TM IS 1 user - only allowed to add one to shopping cart.TM routinely sells out when it's FAR and it's possible that more product will get added today or tomorrow' it's been reported in prior weeks that product has been added during the middle of the day.

May I ask what incentive UAL gave to have you tie up $2500 in gc's?

I picked up 3 TM, they had to get one from the back because only two were on the shelf. Used my remaining $100 Rewards and finally got the Staples app on my phone to cough up a $10/75 coupon. Got the paper on a different transaction so I didn't lose any of the 10% Rewards on ream paper.

Strangely, the register was spitting out one rebate form per pack on the pastels paper, as opposed to just one per color like it usually does. If anyone tried buying more than 2 in multiple SKU's, please let us know if it let you get the extra rebates (although I tend to doubt it, and it may take a day or so until it kicks out the extra, by which point the rebate will be over.

A few weeks ago I received three rebate forms for three Trend Micro in the same transaction, even though they were all the same item.

My local stores don't have a weekly ad out this time. Will they spit out the rebate form, or, regardless, how can I still claim the rebate in such case? Does it differ from usual situations?

OT so I'll PM. If anyone else wants to know, PM me.

at the Staples website, check your zip or ones near it and see if any local stores show the ad. not sure why this is regional, yours is the first post I've seen in this regard.

Thanks. The website shows there is no new ad available for my nearby stores.

I was surprised myself for falling into an unusual situation, but I chalk it up to living in the boonies.

I am actually interested in the paper deals, and not in the antivirus. IS there any way to know if the rebate form will print or not, or if a receipt from a store which didn't advertise the deal is still eligible for the rebate?

Try a different browser, sometimes I get that error when I use FF and I just swap over to IE to look at the ad. Only way to know for sure is go and try buying a ream.

In the past, regional rebates were "hidden" and could not be searched on the rebate website. These rebates are not hidden and unlikely to be regional.

Since there's no new ad available for your nearby stores the only sufefrie answer is buying the paper at the store. You can call the store but YMMV.

Can anyone confirm this? I bought a Pink and a Turquoise, it printed out a rebate for each ream with a quantity of 1 purchased for the rebate.

I did the experiment and I'm not sure but I think it failed.

This AM bought 4 TM IS (left one on shelf), 2 copy paper, 2 HP photo papaer & 2 pastels. Used a 16-digit 15% off $20+ and paid w/ gc. Received 5 rebate receipts incl 2 for the 2 pastels (same color/SKU). Cashier (one who usually knows what's going on) said she thought it was 2 rebates per color. So I went back this PM and bought 10 more pastels, 2 ea of 5 different colors. Used a 16-digit $10/$75 expiring tomorrow. Received a grand total of two rebate receipts. Different cashier (head cashier) who understood what I was hoping would happen said "it looks like you get 4 rebates" (2 per receipt) and "You know what to do if it doesn't work out." ie return them.

It was the same offer number for both SKU's. (FAR stuff already purchased and successfuly submitted).

Did you intentionally miss (or ignore) the part of the form that says "Limits per customer/address: 02"?" Or the T&C below that say the limit is 2 per customer?
