Ipad 2 299$ Walmart YMMV

Went over to Electronics, new iPad 2s had been marked down to $299. The only color available was white, but I imagine the markdown was to clear inventory and make room for ipad 3 or new ipad whatever they'll call them

Like most WalMart in-store clearance, it's probably only valid at OP's store.

It was WIDELY announced on different news shows that these are going to marked down to $299.
Not sure what the big deal is. It's common knowledge.

Standard price $299, this isn't hot if you just wait until the iPad 3 comes out.

Yes and that is also the offical word from Apple. As for the supposed $299 pricing, all it takes is 2 minutes to call the actual WM store on the receipt over at SD and ask.
