VivYip said:   I could not find it in the local WalMart (I saw the 2 larger version of 2 of the 3 products in the trial pk but not the trial pack itself) I'll probably try again after reading your post. thanks!

She went to a computer in the Jewelry department to look it up on WalMart.com. Although it said "sold online only", she entered the product code into her handheld gizmo. On her gizmo, it showed up as a deleted item, but it also showed they had inventory held in the back! Go figure.

thanks! (I checked the "in-store" availability for my store...it said it was there...will definitely try again)

From the fine print:Store identified receipt(s) must emanate from same state as consumer address
Does this mean an Amazon purchase will not be honored?

I bought the Neosporin Essentials Trial Pack (that currently has a MIR on it) at Walgreens and asked for a rebate receipt to hide my coupon usage and Register Reward usage. The rebate form asks me to submit the original store identified receipt. Do you guys think a rebate receipt will fly? It lists the store but doesn't list any coupon usage. Out of the three major drug store chains only Walgreens registers have the ability to generate a rebate receipt (that I know of).

Sounds like it.

I don't think there's any cause for concern....

rebate form states "you will be sent a check for the circled purchase price"...there is no fine print mentioning penalizing for coupons, RR's, ECB's, etc.

Their verbage is your protection that you'll get back what it rings up at the register, not what your final oop is for the item.

It should be that way, but it has been my experience that certain rebate houses do whatever they want, no matter what they say or don't say on the rebate form. but I think I will be safe with a rebate receipt and I will keep the original receipt in case they request it.

Yay! The coupon sites apparently fixed whatever was not working yesterday as I was able to print the coupon now.

FYI - These kits are available at Target B&M for around $11.

How much are these at WalMart? Also, the form says limit 1 but also says "Multiple receipts are acceptable.", what does that exactly mean?

thanks op!

Dont waste your money look at the label and you can see what is in it which is Hydrocrotisone which is nothing special and the other two parts do not work well at all. I have Eczema and mine is bad and this stuff does not work I use Sarna original and it seems to work the best of anything that I have found for the itching. Just my input

Just checked out your solution: Original SARNA Contains Camphor and Menthol as active ingredients.

I have several items from the 99c store with these active ingredients...

JUST FYI for others.

HPM....

PS: the mfgr of SARNA is good company, if it works for you, then green for you and everyone else it works for.

it's a smaller box than I expected. (it's roughly 4" x 5" x 1.5" ) It was placed on the top corner of the shelf/aisle of where neosporin/bandaids is located in target. Hope this helps somsone.

Thanks OP

PS. A catalina printed out with this purchase, but it said "excludes trial sizes" Also, in the box, there are 2 coupons: $1 off any neosporin essentials product and a $3/2 (I was opening from the bottom to cut out the UPC...the bottom is not taped, so if you want to use the coupon on itself...it's possible (up to you, but the coupon is there; so just in case)

I was able to go back today and get $5 coupon retroactively applied to my purchase. (I printed a copy of the receipt since the original was already sent out with the rebate.)

From SD:

Just a small disclaimer for anyone doing/potentially doing the Neosporin Essentials (a J and J product) TMF MIR. I recently got back my J and J Cortaid TMF rebate for $1.00. It was the only thing on my receipt and I paid with ups (no manf Q's). I have emailed them as no where in the rebate does it state this would be deducted, but you may want to black out your receipt for this one (Neosporin). I had already purchased Neosporin for me and my mom, so I just blacked most everything out and will send tomorrow. Now my mom got the whole 7.99 for Cortaid but she purchased some other things, not sure what her actual OOP was.

It is times like this that I am glad I bought mine at Walgreens so that way I could send in a rebate receipt.

I asked my local Walgreens about rebate receipt but the store manager had no clue, she even called another store and they didn't know anything either.

Someone at SD reported their rebate submission was returned because they used rebate receipt.

JimsEmptyWallet said:   Someone at SD reported their rebate submission was returned because they used rebate receipt. The rebate form does say:

"... the original store identified cash register receipt dated 3/18/12 through 3/36/12 ..."

It's no secret that rebate terms and conditions must be followed to the letter or your rebate will be denied.

Got my rebate check today. I paid $11.49 and used the $5 coupon which I blacked out. I also bought some other items. The check I received was for only $6.49.

Was the coupon right underneath the item?

That's a good question. Regardless, that's presumptuous on their part to deduct a coupon value. Especially the amount, given that there are several potential coupons that could have been used.

Yes but I used a black marker and neatly and completely blacked it out. My receipt total was over $30 so I am not sure how they figured it out.

I received the rebate check for the full amount of the Neosporin on my receipt, $12, even though I used a $5 coupon and $1 CVS EB and didn't black out anything. (I also bought 3 other items on the same receipt. The coupons appeared at the end, not directly under the Neosporin.) It might depend on the particular person who happens to process your rebate and how closely they look at it.

I got my check today, $6.47, not the full amount. Sad face on no money maker, but at least it's free stuff.

Still have not received the rebate check. Anyone else is also waiting?

niniss said:   Still have not received the rebate check. Anyone else is also waiting?
Yes, I'm still waiting. It's been less than 8 weeks, not "overdue" yet.

Thanks. It's just that some posters above mentioned of receiving it more than 2 weeks ago so i started to wonder.

Yesterday I received my rebate check; it was a whopping $2.52. I made my purchase at CVS and I did use a $5 coupon (which showed on my receipt) so I would understand if my rebate amount was only around $7. But $2.52??? I did use some CVS Extra Care Bucks toward my purchase but I bought a few other items at the same time and in any case, ECB's certainly should not have factored into my rebate amount. Not one of my better deals.

I blacked out the coupon, but my submission got returned for the black out, asked me to resubmit with a clean original receipt.
Obivious I don't have the clean original receipt, I have a copy without the black out, and resubmited it, hope I get something back.

I got the full $11.47 rebate yesterday even though I used the $5.00 off coupon. I had purchased a few other items and the coupon was all the way at the bottom, so maybe the data entry person didn't notice it.

That's a bad news. I blacked everything out except for that particular item and i didn't make any clean copy of the original receipt. Lesson learned here - not all advices on FWF are wise.

A member at SD reported they got the full amount after calling 800-NEOSPORIN.

I'd call them and complain. The rebate form said to include the dated, store identified receipt with price circled. If you did that, they can't decide to have a problem with something blacked out. That's what I'm going to do if I have to. I blacked out my receipt but have not received anything yet.

Just got the rebate check today for the full price (along with a $3 coupon). What a great surprise! I actually liked this product so i might use this coupon to buy another one.

Used a $5 coupon for the product and get the rebate check today for the purchase price - $5.
In the future, how do I go about doing a return/rebuy in order to get a clean receipt? Take the product back without receipt and just ask the cashier to do return/rebuy?

Just for fun, I called 800-223-0182 about my "missing" $5. The CSR asked if I used a coupon and I replied yes. Without saying anymore, she told me "rest of the money" will be mailed out in 3 wks. She asked for my name and address, and gave me a reference number. She also told me to call back if I don't see the check in 3 wks.

About time for me to call, as it's been 8+ weeks and I've received nothing.
