I just read a review on the 5D Mark III (newest version) and the reviewer loved it. It's twice this price though so this sounds like a good deal on stock Canon should be clearing.

Well, that didn't last long...
I expect we'll be seeing lots of Mark II deals (even on used ones) as the Mark III hits the streets.

Reviewed 5D Mark III and it is phenomenal. However, unless you are making a lot of money using that camera to justify the extra money, 5D Mark II should be good enough for most of us. It may not be too late before we start seeing 5D Mark II being offered as part of Canon Loyalty Program for $1200 - $1400 range.
