Scotts Super Turf Builder 5000 Sq. Ft. $4.49 AC AR at TrueValue Through May 13.

$13.99 sale price x 2 = $27.98
Minus $5 off $25 coupon from http://www.truevalue.com/ or http://www.startrightstarthere.com/ = $22.98
Minus $7 MIR x2 = $8.98

Final cost = $4.49 per bag

For what it's worth, the Turf Builder Plus 2 (with weed killer) is also on sale, but I recommend avoiding it and all other granular weed killers because the stars really have to align properly in order for the products to kill weeds effectively (i.e., grass/weeds must be damp before application, spreader must be calibrated just right, there can't be rain or dew following application, etc.) and moreover, you end up spreading weed killer where it isn't needed. My preferred method is to use a liquid weed killer from a pump spray bottle on an as-needed basis to spot treat weeds. If your yard is really loaded with weeds, call in a truck-based lawn service like TruGreen or Scotts for a ONE TIME application where someone will spray treat weeds (I have done this and the results were great, the cost was low ($150 for a HUGE yard), and I saved a ton of time and effort).

This is a very good price on Scotts. Purchased an off brand at Menards which was the same net price after rebate, so will return and purchase Scotts.

where can we find the rebate form?

Great product ,
Great price
Green grass and green for the post

Ok for us slow people here, do you take the true value coupon and ask ace to match and then file the ace mail in rebate form here http://ace.imageg.net/graphics/coupon/ScottsSpring2012final.pdf? Or am I finding the wrong rebate form? Is it on the bag itself? Thanks!

I'm slow too! It may be regional only, I called my buddy who is a manger at a true value and he said they don't have it this weeks or next weeks flyer for this price, and no mention of MIR.

I found a 2013 rebate for Ace Hardware though. Like I said, wondering if Ace will match the true value $5 off. Then I think same deal?

Figured this would help a little bit plus you can check to see if your local true value has this product on sale. Thanks OP needed to do something with the lawn Scotts Lawn Builder Plus

The issue of Scotts vs. off-brand comes up frequently on FW. I think the general consensus (which matches my own experience) is that for whatever reason, Scotts seems to deliver better results in terms of greener, thicker grass.

OP, where can one find the MIR form?

Where is the link to the MIR?

This page contains all Scotts mail in rebates from Ace, and I don't see the Super Turf Builder listed unless it's a weed n feed.

The problem is that this deal is at True Value. I dont think an ACE rebate form will work as they are not the same store. I'd like to see the True Value rebate also if there is such a rebate. I'm thinking maybe OP got confused a bit on the stores?

Scan attached of rebate forms. It looks like it's a Scotts-sponsored rebate since all the products offered are from Scotts and the website to check rebate status is a Scotts website. The T&C are a bit confusing since they keep using the word OR, but it's pretty clear you can get up to $54 so long as you don't exceed the quantities allowed for individual items.

I think the question is: where did the OP get the rebate form ? In a newspaper, flyer, on the product or at the store ?

TruValue rebate page doesn't have anything about this rebate:

I sent to ajp's link, looked at my local ad, zip 37129 Nashville area, all items are in the ad, rebate listed.
Thanks

Ok, I bit. Ordered 2 bags online, used the $5 off coupon, brought my total to $24.66 including tax shipped to store free. I found a store nearby to me that had a weekly ad mentioning the $7 mail in rebate.

I just need to wait for the email saying the items are at the store for pickup.

Not sure if it will help anyone else, but the store I found the weekly ad at is C&I True Value in zipcode 15001.

The cashier tore the rebate form off a pad and handed it to me at check-out. The flyer showing the sale prices came in the mail and had the name of one of the local True Value stores printed on the back.

bummer. Not on sale in my local circular and not eligible for ship to store based on my location. Must be a law about shipping fertilizer.
