I bought the fish one last year after Christmas from Kohls. My 3 year old uses it every night as a nightlight. She loves it and it looks cute too.

The motor isn't loud at all. There is a chair right next to it in my daughter's room, and all I ever notice is an occassional clicking sound when it hits a certain spot, but it isn't loud. We leave it on all night. Also my older daughter has the jellyfish one and I think it is more of a pain than it is worth. It doesn't get used much.
