it's been like that for a long time. see the Staples for beginners thread in DD if you have questions.
Dang. Haven't done a Staples rewards deal in a long time so I haven't been keeping up. Thanks for the helpful answer.

last time they had this offer i wanted to make a 'for deposit only...' stamp but my local Staples told me no FAR unless its an address. has anyone created a non-address stamp and received the rebate?
the sheet they tell you to use for the brother 1850 mentions "for deposit only" as an option. (actually, its what i got in 10 minutes or less. it's pretty neat)

I'm guessing a 'for deposit only' stamp would have larger characters than an address. I haven't read the rebate form, so if you end up with a different rebate form or receipt it might cause problems. If you're not picky and dont mind the smaller characters, I guess you could claim either your name or address is 'for deposit only' and you want all the other lines blank. As far as that goes you could add more detailed information for you or the related business and claim that is the address.

Another lame weekly ad from Staples. After I receive the two rebate checks that are currently "in the mail," I'll only have $19.98 in outstanding Staples rebates. I don't think I've been that low since October 2010.
Shipping was ten bucks on the 99 cent stamper, so I passed.

I am guessing the next decent ad might not be for another 3 weeks, memorial day week. At least our Mets are finally good.

If you view next weeks ad on line, it says and they have had this before.... $100 rebate for students..... As I recall from previous similar offers you need a student id to buy for them to print rebate eligibility printed on your receipt.....
I just went to Staples and saw their ad. There is no deal on address stamper!

Sometimes the online ads differ from the in store ads. For me when I look online, it's the last page of the weekly ad.

OT: What's the point of having a stamp "For Deposit Only"? I mean, I get it, it's for checks, but why would you want to mark a check as "For Deposit Only"?
Would these be for checks that you send in payment for services, etc.?

When you get a check from say Staples for a rebate, you can just get the cash at the bank or deposit it. Many find a need for deposit only on the check.. Check can only be deposited....
Myself, those I just take the cash from the teller and run... Does not even appear on the bank records for my account...

When you sign the back of the check, it becomes just like cash and anyone can deposit it in their account. By marking it "For Deposit Only", with your signature and/or account number, it can only be deposited in your account. It's an additional measure of security in case you lose a check...or a stack of checks.

What about these 99¢ Standard Self-Inking Stamper for Address, Deposit, Signature? Regular price $18.99.
those are online only and have $11 shipping charge. This would not be "free" after the rewards (certainly not the shipping charges anyway).
You have to get it from the B&M at $22 for the free after rewards deal really.
I did get one, very nice. lasts for 5000 stamps and you can refill the ink yourself after. Beats ordering address labels.

If you add an image to the 99c stamp, shipping is free. However, the stamps aren't exactly the same. The 99 cent ones are the kinds that ink the stamp pad by having it rotate inside. The FARewards ones are the Brother ones that don't rotate at all inside. The Brother ones don't have to be pushed down as far in order to actually stamp. Sorry if I didn't really explain it that well. I have no idea which of these is better though.

right Jets,
the one in zmaster's link is a different address stamper than the one shown as FArewards in the ad (the Brother). although, for .99 shipped (even w/o the rewards back), it's a great deal. yours is the first post I read about adding an image. I take it it has to be a logo of some kind as shown at the link? have you actually ordered one?

The stamp now comes up at $4.99 for the first one, $9.99 additional ones, with that same link. I also see free shipping if I add an image.
