How long does it take? I still have not received a reply after 10 minutes. (Yes, I texted directly from my cell phone, not using any SMS app or service).

Same here, but hours ago. Maybe this round will actually have some freebies as opposed to $0.25 discounts...
For anyone that needs to rent a movie today, the code for a free movie (today only) is MAY13. Yes, I know the code has been posted before, but I'm repeating it in case someone missed it.

Why not just write out the code?

First code, $0.50 off. Not a spectacular start, but here's hoping to some freebies this time.

I guess some places are still $1? Here is $1.20 so it would never be free.

Just found out, the Redbox website says to text the word "FUN" not "DEALS" as it states above.

Since starting to stream with my Roku I have not rented a DVD in almost a year. So many places to watch movies for so much less.
I think the Redbox business model is slipping away.

I got (and have just redeemed) a code from texting DEALS.

Looks like both DEALS and FUN work today. Got a $0.25 off code that expires 5/22

For free rentals use codes 'BREAKROOM', 'DVDONME' AND 'DVDATWAG' (the last one only at Walgreens). You can use these codes for each card. So, if you have 3 credit/debit cards, you get 3*3=9 free rentals

But you can't use promo codes online.

If you have BankAmericard, check your offers (it's on the top of the page after you signed in on BofA page). Mine has 10% off RedBox (as well as Starbucks, Burger King and local merchants).

Is your time worth so little that it makes sense to spend a couple of minutes hunting for a coupon code online to save 12 to 15 cents on a movie rental?

What made you assume that?
I wasn't hunting and I posted the deal here so other readers wouldn't have to hunt. And I did not start a new thread just for this $0.10-$.015. I was just doing my banking online, saw the deal(s) and happened to read this thread. You can always pass, no one forces you to hunt any deal you think it's not worth it.

Wow. Talk about a touchy little tantrum thrower. I think most people have better things to do with their lives than take the effort you are proposing to save, literally, 12 cents. It's not worth my time to write down the code or find it on my cell phone and then punch it in to save a quarter, let alone half that amount. But hey, if it means that much to you, then save away.

But you'll spend that much time trying to TC, which doesn't put ANYTHING in your pocket. But hey, if it means that much to you...
As for today's code, $0.25 ... best thus far has been $0.50, so not nearly as lucrative as last time around.

I see, stating something that reflects common sense and reasonable priorities that an extreme penny-pincher might find disagreeable equates to thread crapping? OK, if you say so. By the time you have taken the effort to use such a code 16 times, you can buy a cup of coffee with your savings! Whooppee!
You might as well make a regular habit of checking the change return slots in vending machines and pay phones, if you can find any.

My "10 Days of Deals" should have been called "9 Days of $0.25 off and one really exciting day where I got a $0.50 off Of Deals"
Deal is now dead, so it's time to start looking in vending machine and pay phone coin slots again.
