Even Best Buy has a 14" Asus I3 for $380, and a 15" Asus I5 for $480. It's not that this is a bad deal, but it's nothing... (more)

Not sure what's going on with the "Hot!!" car salesman title is all about...but (after taxes) your looking at about a $50 savings (the mail-in rebate) as being the price difference between this and other sellers.

Ok deal..if your in the market for one...but not "Hot!!, let's see how fast I can get my credit card"-type of deal..

as most terms, it's relative. But so far this SALES WEEK, I'd say it's the best laptop deal out there (bang for the buck).

Sure thing, Billy Mays Jr...and I would have to disagree....Fry's Fujitsu one seems better..

Core i3 w/ huge hard drive and 6gb of memory for only $450?
I like it a lot.

don't tell respdoc that!

Fry's one day sale (today) has 3 laptops that are better bangs for bucks, but those are 14" & 15.6". This is the best deal going on a 17" laptop that I'm aware of.

right, and that sale is over after today and many of us don't have Frys in their area (unless you can ship the lappy and not sure if theres shipping costs). and yes, this does appear to be the best 17" deal now...

You are correct, since the others have now sold out....by default...this one currently is the best deal.

Save the best for last.

Or in your example, be the first on top of the best deal available

Not alot of i3 ($450 range)comes with

-640 GB Hd
-6 Gb RAM
-HDMI/VGA/Webcam/Bluetooth/wireless N

definitely a well bundled i3 within everybody's budget

Green!!! (I am using this lappy now and very happy with it)

Got this 3 months ago for $400

You are buying brand new laptop and with out 1000 mbps ethernet and USB 3.0 @ 450.

1000 mbps ethernet is nice, but I'm guessing a complete non-factor for most.

in a nutshell, what is the advantage of 3.0 USB over 2.0?

I am sure you could look this up yourself, but USB 3.0 is faster. Not a big deal for hooking up a mouse, but a big difference when hooking up an external hard drive.

RE:

Frys

Going south, 6 hours and sales tax (I can visit my kids)
Going north, 4 hours and no sales tax (And I visit Izzy's Pizza)

Decisions, decisions....

Who wants a 17" laptop?
Anyways I like the memory

There is 1 possibility...
It makes "THINGS" bigger...
Or it can be a desktop replacement, I doubt I will will ever buy another....
