For those of you who still have the $25 off $75, throw in some fillers to make money after rebate.

And also for those who still have their printouts from the 20% off all in-store software purchases expiring 6/2/12.

Might be Staples weakest Memorial Day ad ever

Thanks MC. But at the ad. I now have $0.00 in outstanding Staples rebates. I don't remember the last time that was the case.

Has anyone tried (dared?) to use two of these on one rewards account? I have used one already and would maybe like to use another for this deal.

I don't think it will be a problem, but if you're concerned, why don't you buy it without your rewards account then?

To either cash out rewards, or spending towards premier (probably a combo of both).

yeah, sales getting weaker by every year now and this is the worst.

My Staples always asks for my rewards# if I'm using a coupon.

I have. No ill effects.

To reach the $75 threshold for the coupon, purchase the McAfee IS 3User along with the 2 Staples Paper Reams.

IMO, 1 TB WD Passport Portable Drive for 100$ and with coupon for 75 buck seems to be a good deal

I agree. Staples used to have amazing Anniversary sales during the month of May, and they didn't have anything good this year for that either. Very disappointing.

Anyone have the ad or link to their Memorial Day ad?

use op link to Staples, click where it says circular, then "more" and you can view it.

What drive are u talking about?

You know, you don't HAVE to create a thread for Staples every week, especially when they obviously have such a weak showing...

The McAfee says "Available In-Store Only."

croushore said:   The McAfee says "Available In-Store Only."

from past history, most McAfee rebates have been good online/instore based on the rebate wording which is what you have to go by. Sometime the store ad says "in store" but the rebate is valid either way. We'll have to wait to the rebate is up at www.staplesrebates.com on Sunday to know for sure. I'm optimistic it will be both store and .com.

If you are going to use the 20% off software and/or the $25 off $75 coupon, you must use them in store anyway,so you might as well get the McAfee there

I only do easy rebate now. If this is MAIL-IN rebate only then I think I'll have to pass it.

Staples near my no longer will take the 25 off 75 if there is an instant savings offer on it.

Danzilla said:   You know, you don't HAVE to create a thread for Staples every week, especially when they obviously have such a weak showing...

typically there's not much choice. most rebate offers/rewards offers are just for the sun-sat sales week, so even if there's just one offer, it's easier and keeps it less confusing have week to week threads.

I was looking forward to this week's ad with great anticipation.....but I think the word "dud" is most fitting term to describe it.

expired said:   Staples near my no longer will take the 25 off 75 if there is an instant savings offer on it.

they don't understand the coupon..

if your total is still above $75 AFTER instant savings is applied, it's still valid to use it. You should call corporate and complain.

I'm just curious, since it's a 2012 version, do I need to buy another one when January comes around or is it for 1 whole year?

tctsan said:   I'm just curious, since it's a 2012 version, do I need to buy another one when January comes around or is it for 1 whole year?
Dont worry, you should have plenty of FAR 2013 before January rolls in, although I think it should be valid for 12 months.
In any case, most folks on this board dont buy it to actually use it.

tctsan said:   I'm just curious, since it's a 2012 version, do I need to buy another one when January comes around or is it for 1 whole year?

I haven't installed McAfee but all other AV software I have installed is 1 year from when you actually install it.

It lasts for one year from date of activation (the updates). I don't know if Mcaffee allows you to keep expired versions running on your computer after the year is up.

I remember earlier this year there was a weak Staples ad and then new offers came out on Sunday or Monday that were not in the ad. Maybe (hopefully) this is what they're planning.

I do wonder whether all those outstanding coupons are having an affect-I can never figure out which one to use-on the deals.

pulled from sd and thx to butcherboy,

all I know about this deal.
K-cup deal:
For all you app coupon junkies, you can use the breakroom coupon to buy 2 boxes of K-cups for $24 - $12 (50%) - $5 rebate = $7. Or even better, if you have a $25 off 75 banner ad coupon you can buy 7 boxes for $84 - $42 (50%) - $25 - $5 rebate = $12! That's only 9.5 cents per cup!! The best part is that you can get the breakroom coupon after 10 days of checking in, so no need to beg in 2 weeks!

Hey MC, does the banner ad coupon work differently than a regular 25/75?

(9.5c a cup is about what a cup should cost at home, or less)

thx
hpm

for all purposes, they are the same. the banner ad is referring to the hot deals thread a few weeks back where you could print out your own $25/75 coupon for in store.

Wow, I need to read FW more often. I could have used that coupon, maybe. I bought one of those Brother J825DW inkjet printers, PMed to OD's $100 price. I saved $50. Then again, if I tried to PM and coupon in-store, I most likely would have been shot down.

Cool. It's a lot easier to use coupons and pricematch on-line than in-store. I'm in total agreement with VirtuaL.
