(I purchased 1 starbucks pike 1 starbucks normal, 1 revv(?), 2 hazelnut, 1 green tea)
3 rebate receipts came out ( hazelnut, starbuck pike, and green tea)
on the other hand, if a person is in search for a the 20/75 r 25/75 coupon, the new breakroom catalogs are out with 20/75 coupons that expires 9/3/12 (This makes me wonder if the rebate is also good for online orders...if so, it'd be better)
only rule I saw was it must be 16-18 count boxes, ANY BRAND. (think those were the sizes which qualified)

does HP have a mail in for free gift card with $xx.xx purchase deal going now? I know there was one a while ago but can't find the post with the link... then again it might have expired 6/1

halfway up the thread, another user posted it, 20 dollar subway for 100 in purchase on the same receipt. A bit too much for me, considering HP generally tries to smash people using pre-coupon prices.
NotYourMomma said: Anyone try the OfficeMax 20%off bag at Staples for this deal? Any cons to trying it? Bag coupon doesn't exclude HP inks and it actually works online at OfficeMax. My thinking is to get 20% more product out of it (ink or other).
The online terms of the bags exclude HP products, so if is working online at OM.com, I imagine it is a bug.

I noticed last night that Staples is now carrying 24 packs of K-Cups for $12.99,which is the same price as they're selling most of the 16-18 packs for online (some are $11.99). Unless you have a coupon to use, this $5 gift card deal isn't really much of a deal at all.

I wouldn't call it a "trick", it's just the way Staples system works. Any coupons used on a particular order/purchase are prorated across all items purchased, whether the coupon specifically applies to one item or not. It can work in your favor sometimes, but often does not. I learned the hard way when I bought a Free After Rewards item at the same time as another item (I used a $ off coupon on the other item). The coupon got prorated to both items so I didn't get back 100% of the cost in rewards. Lesson learned.

I finally got to Staples today. Picked up the 940 combo pack, which was $96.99, less my 10% less $25/75 coupon (scanned fine). So I paid $66 and get back $53 extra in Rewards. Plus I used gift cards I had gotten from Discover so those cost me 20% less than face value. I could have bought less expensive cartridges but I needed to spend $84 minimum (for the 10% off and $25), and I can actually use these, and buying individual cartridges while still spending $84 would have put me pretty close to $96 anyway.
Then I gave another $25 coupon to a woman in front of me who had spent over $200. Too bad I didn't see her beforehand because I could have given her two. And she was buying HP ink but was not trading in any cartridges! She was also buying HP photo paper (4x6") which she seemed to have coupon for $9.99. Good to know that someone actually pays for that stuff. I could have sold her some!
BTW I just noticed that the 10% discount shows up online if you are eligible for it. So you can easily tell if it's on your card.

FYI, if you did the ink deal the early part of the week (sun/mod), the details are now up on the rewards site. Good idea to check you account and make sure your ink/ink recycle credit is all showing properly. I bought $63ish in ink ac's and had $93 in rewards reported ($80 for 20 carts and $13 in ink 20% rewards)

Be careful with coupon usage.
I bought $60 ink and the Panasonic phone in the other thread, and used a $25 off coupon. But the coupon pushed the ink price to below $50.
The terms of this sale says" Spend $50 on HP ink in ONE TRANSACTION and earn ...", so the only solution was to void the previous sale and buy more HP ink in ONE TRANSACTION.

My opinion, if you only had the one coupon, you should have tried using it only on the phone and bought the ink separately, since any coupon deduction took away from your 20% Rewards on the ink. And if you had a second coupon, you should have just bought extra ink and also bought it alone.

Some of us (maybe Premier Rewards members?) got notified that we get 10% off on HP ink purchases. It comes off automatically when your Rewards card is scanned.

I never cared enough to look into it, since I rarely buy HP ink (and had forgotten about it until it was mentioned in this thread).

I did homework before going to the local store, but forgot that coupons prorate among items part now at Staples.
after I hauled everything into my car and found the ink purchase was a couple dollars short of $50 because of that. So I thought of just buying one more ink tank to go above $50. However, I realized that >$50 ink purchase has to be in one transaction. That leaves me the only option: return and rebuy.
I had several coupons, but it was just easy to do return and rebuy since I also recycled a landline phone for $20 off.
Lesson learned, but no damage done this time.

I didn't think the $50 had to all be in one transaction, just purchased the same day as you recycled the ink cartridges.
I bought about $48 of HP ink (I also didn't realize until I got back to the car that I had the 10% off thing) at the time I recycled. So I went back and bought $20 more a few minutes later. I got the full $80 recycling credit. FYI

Is this true that you would have gotten the $80 reward and 20% reward if you had paid in cash for the >$50 HP ink in that period? So if you have paid with your previous rewards, you wouldn't get the promotion, is that right?
Edit: that is the case, didn't read the details of promotion correctly

Edit: that is the case, didn't read the details of promotion correctly Did you pay with Rewards and not get the double ink rewards because your cost after coupons was under $50? The 20% definitely would have been reduced by whatever Rewards you used.

Thanks for your reply billrubin, Yes I paid the whole transaction by rewards, and didn't know that it is deducted in achieving the $50 mark. My bad, didn't read the fine prints in details enough I was thinking with myself, sweet!, I didn't pay tax too! but I was all wrong, my transaction is worth only few cents
