same here. this isn't the first item this has happened to me on. really wanted whatever it was last time so i contacted customer service and the credited me, but still a hassle.

i just got done chatting with Sears customer service online and he could not help me. he said the 26.99 is the real price. i then called to speak with Sears customer service and was told that the checkout price "is the real price" and they are working on the issue. i asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold. A few minutes later the same customer service rep came back and asked the item number to the item i was referring to. after giving him that info, he placed me on hold for a few more minutes. After a few minutes, he came back and said after checking on the item the updated price is 14.69. I have no clue how they came up with that price but that's a pretty good price. I ordered 1. He said he couldn't make any adjustments till after the order was placed. Price of order before adjustments was 27.02 and after price different of 10.80(credited back to my credit card in 3-5 business days) the order came out to 16.22. Ofcourse that is the price to pick it up at the store. So if it's worth the hassle to you, go for it. Thanks OP

Worked for me. I used express checkout with instore pickup. Got the metric set for the same price. I also got a 25% off coupon after completing checkout. Thanks OP.
