Runs May 31 to June 27. Actually a 1 cent MM AR. The oil is 19.99. You get 20 back. I imagine the pros here will turn it into a better MM than that even. I don't have any links yet. It was in the in store flyer when I was there today. I believe we've been able to claim this type of oil online (as opposed to required mail in). Post a link if you find one b4 me...

Sadly, no Advance on my side of the planet, and they don't ship oil. Autozone tends to have similar offers, but I checked their current flyer, which only has a $5 GC rebate wyb 5 quarts, which are $2.xx each. So, no oil for me on this go-round. Good for those with Advance in their area. Thanks, OP.

No such thing as free jugs. You wind up paying for them one way or another tenfold!

Just did three oil changes Monday. Need to replenish my supply. Oddly, I was just there yesterday buying R134 and saw nothing advertised in store about free oil. Hope it's true. Thanks OP.

The add in my hand says AMEX reward card. Same as the last card. Yea. That's the deal I believe. I would have scanned it, but haven't hooked up my scanner yet.

There goes that penny profit. Wonder if using a code w/ this will throw the deal off? FW Veterans?

Still waiting for mine also from AdvanceAutoParts. Seems the excuses are starting to fly at the rebate center.

Still waiting on March 21 submission. Rebate website was screwy over the weekend but seems back on the slow track today. I think they are pushing the 8-10 week envelope just about now...

No way I am putting recycled oil into my car no matter what PR they throw out there.
Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

Coupon says Autozone is participating in this promo, as is O'Reilly and Pepboys...
Is this a no-go if you did the previous rebate a few months back?

Loving all this free oil! About time for G-Oil to offer another jug FAR which kinda makes me wonder... both G-Oil and NextGen are "environmentally friendly"; maybe the government is paying the tab on these deals?

I will pass. I would jump on this if it wasn't a store gift card. Waiting for net G-oil rebate.

The Valvoline site says they are store gift cards but when you go to the Advance Rebate site, they are AMEX cards like the last time around.
Like last time, the limits are kind of confusing but it looks like you might be able to double up by getting one rebate on 5 qts and another on the 5 quart jug. The last time you could do this for each different SKU or oil weight but I bet they have that loophole closed on this one.
Looks like advance does not carry 5w20 in the 5 qt jugs, only the quarts. I was going to try this but no go on the 5-w20.

The oil has been re-refined and meets SAE standards or else they couldn't label it. You must not know much about oil - trucks, buses and taxi fleets all recycle and use re-refined oil and run their vehicles for hundreds of thousands of miles. Honestly, when the crude oil comes out of the ground it is mixed with all kinds of crud, do you really think that is somehow cleaner than an oil which has been refined once already and is now re-refined? Do you put Perrier water in your car's radiator because regular tap water isn't "good" enough for your car? (PS - that would be a disaster since "mineral water" will leave mineral deposits. You can and should use recycled oil.

Advance won't let you use online coupons on motor oil. Sometimes they send out paper coupons in the mail (mainly in Valpak) and you can use those on motor oil, but only if its not part of an oil change special.

I just picked up a jug of 5w30, I also normally use 5w20. For my car, it was basically a ploy by the manufacturer to get better CAFE numbers. Hard to say, but it seems that 5w20 will get about 1-1.5% better gas mileage over 5w30. Most people say that you won't really notice it.
Anyway, the flyer in the store didn't even mention it and the woman behind the counter had no clue that it was on sale or that there was a rebate on it. It did ring up at the sale price and a rebate slip did print out. I just submitted the rebate online.
