it might be safest to do this deal online with the $25/75 coupon. lots of reports of the $25/75 coupn getting "kicked off" due to the instant $20 recycle credit in the store off the price of the phone, throws the total below $75.
if you proceed online, not an issue as the $20 recycle credit is given AFTER back to your form of payment (ie credit card)

cashier is wrong, the trade in has nothing to do with the upfront selling price of this item. it's a seperate offer.

Staples' employees & some managers need to be trained by some of us, i bought an on-going deal shredder at another store 15 miles from mine cause my local store was oos, the manager insisted that the trade in can't be with the clearance price, it doesn't matter what i say she doesn't want to sell me $150 shredder for $4.50, i didn't bother to call corp office cause they close in the weekend, so i bought it anyway and bring the receipt with an old shredder to my local store and ask for a trade in credit 2 days later, the sale girl looked at the sheets with lot of bar codes and said the trade in must be at the time of purchase, of course i explain to her but she kept saying over and over, i asked to talk with the manager, he came in and give me several reasons why he can't do it, such as the trade in must be on regular price, i have to come back to the store i bought from, i have to bring the NEW shredder with me to show him i actually bought it, man i never seen any stupid manager like this, then i called corp office number saved on my phone, explain to them and they call the store and talk with the manager, i walked out with a $5x.xx credit back to my account

try eBay, if it's instore, you'll get an actualy coupon to print out. has a bar code which gets scanned at the register.

Thanks. I "acquired" $25/75 coupons before, but all were emailed, never got "actual coupon".
I guess it is easier to do online.

BTW, Panny's cordless phones have horrible battery lifetime (2-3 years). However, you can buy cheap no-brand replacement batteries which can extend phone's life almost indefinitely.

Well, the battery life is what you can expect from NiMH, and I actually highly appreciate Panny for building in a standard AAA holder. You can easily buy those standard AAA NiMH at very cheap price, while you have to pay almost $20 for a crappy replacement battery for most other brands.

When you buy this Instore, Trade In discount is taken instantly so price gets below 75, even you use 25 off coupon first and request the next 20$ trade in. I did the same few weeks before and didn't work. But Online Orders would work fine, because 20$ trade in discount is given after you receive item and adjust at store.

The deal won't work because $20 trade-in will bring the price below $75 and make coupon unqualified. It was approved from last deal a month ago.

I don't buy Panasonic phones ever since I had one die on me a couple of months out of warranty and the best Panasonic would do was sell me a refurbished one for about the same price I had paid to begin with. Fortunately, I had paid for it with my AMEX card and they covered it under the extended warranty. I bought a Uniden instead.
Talking caller id is nice, but I get that displayed on my TV so it's not that big a deal. And I can block numbers directly thru FiOS.

I have about 100 of the 25/75 coupons that expire on 6/9. If anyone wants one, send me a PM. I may not get back to the computer before late night but I will respond when I can. I will host the pdf's and just send you links for the download.
EDIT:
I just finished sending out 99 coupons. That was a lot of work. I received 170 requests.
For those that got one, if you can't use it please pass it on to someone else as they are only valid through this week. For those that did not get one (or requested more than one) I went in the order the requests were received until I ran out. Hopefully another opportunity will come around for me to get another pile.
To check your coupon online, before going to the store.
Put an item in your cart Begin the checkout process (they recently changed when you enter the coupons) Enter the coupon code at the "add/edit coupons" step If the coupon is no good it will tell you it has already been redeemed If it is only valid in the store (as these are) it will tell you that it is not valid online ........
If you are logged into your account when you check coupons, and you have previously used a coupon with this account that starts with the same first five digits, you will get a "coupon already redeemed" response even if the coupon is good.

Could you place the order online using the $25 off $75 code and then go to the store for the $20 off trade in? (sorry if this is a stupid question and the coupon only works at the store - have not used it before)

Tried in store last time, it did not work with the $25 off 75 coupon. It will be surprising if it works with the $25 off coupon and $20 off for tradein at the same time.

i had several that i hadn't used, but tried to use one in-store, and got the "already used" message with a store several miles away. trying to verify on the Staples.com cart also gave the same thing, so i was thinking they were all invalidated? or maybe just the first set was?
good deal, but the thread needs to be merged i think

See if namcongtu will PM you the corporate phone number he has saved in his phone.
the phone you trade in DOES NOT HAVE TO BE CORDLESS! any landline phone qualifies. even a 50 year old rotary telephone.

Placed an online order with the $25 coupon, wait until the phone arrive then bring the packing slip with the recycle phone to $taple and ask them to call in for the recycle credit right there. It works for me couple weeks ago and I got the credit back to my credit card already.
Make sure to have the manager call in for the credit because my store's manager just gave me a credit receipt and told me to call the customer center myself. When I call, I was told that I can't do that, the manager has to call in from the store and if he does not know what to do then just ask the manager to call the customer center and will give him the right number to call.

there's no rebate now, no avail to sunday. you'll need to do a TOTAL return/rebuy and good luck getting your $25/75 coupon recredited.
Went to the store the last time these were on sale. I did not buy them because they did not have headset jacks. If you don't need headset capability, it's a good deal.

Old cordless phone works for recycling $20 credit. Must have base and headset.

no where is the word "cordless" used in the fine print. says "landline". a corded phone is a base and handset as well. either is ok.

I'm hoping I lucked out. Ordered phone on line using $25/$75 coupon. Today went to store w/ packing slip. The registers have the phone recycling promo posted for cashiers to refer to. Initially cashier said my purchase didn't qualify because was <$85 but then conceded that promo says "regular price". If you look it up on line right now its $89.99. She didn't know how to apply the credit since I'd purchased on line. Called over relatively new AM. (She said "he's really good"...) He checked her register binder then working off the binder and my packing list punched a series of keys. I swiped my credit card for $20 credit back to the card. Register receipt shows application of credit to the card. Not a return-rebuy, just a straight credit. wow, if this worked that was waaaay easy!
Cashier wants the phone I recycled. It works just fine but I wanted the Panasonic. So tomorrow I'm bringing in an even older (corded) phone and we're swapping today's recycle for that one. Cashier will get the one I recycled today. (AM said it was ok.) Phone works just fine so I'm glad its going to someone who will use it and is not just being recycled.
