today I do...if you had been following Penney's threads the last 5 months, you'd know they long did away with the type of coupons you asked for. Which is why you got the red and comical reply.

That worked, thank you much.

This stinks, I keep trying to enter CHAPTER11 at checkout for $15 off $25 and it won't work. What gives?

Didn't work for me, must be a one time use code.

Back in 2007 Arizona Jeans went as cheap as $9.99 on their Friday/Saturday doorbusters, and you could combine that with a $10 off $50 purchase coupon.

My, times have changed for the "no more games" JCPenney.

that is 5 years ago now. Rare to find decent jeans for under $10 these days.

True, but if JCPenney adopted their coupon policy again, the $12-$14 price would drop close to that price point if they again offered a $10 off $50 coupon.

I haven't purchased Arizona jeans since 2007 [purchased other brands since], but they were great quality back then. Hopefully they're still as good quality now.

they wouldn't be $12 a pair. They were usually $19.99 a pair with the $10 off $25 coupon.

Nice deal.

Thanks OP,in for st John Bay pants for $13 a pair.

You can get 28-30% off buying GC's online and get them for under $10 a pair!

try $8.40 a pair if you got in on the 30% off GC deals that were up about 2-3 weeks ago.

"GULLIBLE" also worked at checkout for $29 off $30.

The local JCP in Altoona, PA has most styles at $12-14 but also has some as low as $6. The reason JCP is doing this is to clear out inventory because the Arizona sections of their stores are some of the first areas to be renovated.

they wouldn't be $12 a pair. They were usually $19.99 a pair with the $10 off $25 coupon.

Again, my comment was in reference to their 2007 doorbuster prices and coupons.

So if you bought 6 pair of jeans back in 2007 at the doorbuster price of $9.99 [since pairs of jeans wouldn't let the $10 off $50 coupon qualify]:

Doorbuster price: $9.99 X6= $59.94 total for 6 Arizona Jeans
$59.94- $10 off $50 coupon= $49.94 total for 6 Arizona Jeans
Final Cost per pair: $8.32 per pair of Arizona Jeans

So how exactly is $8.32 more expensive than $12?

Now, using your argument: Arizona Jeans were on-sale for $19.99 during the recent $10 off $25 JCPenney coupon era.

Most FatWallet-ers could find an item close to $6 to maximize the coupon such as a pack of socks.

So $19.99 Arizona Jeans+ $5.99 Package of Socks= $25.98

$25.98- $10 off $25 Coupon= $15.98 For both the Arizona Jeans and socks[2011].

Sure $15.98 is more than $12 or $14 for a pair of Jeans, but for the $15.98 you get both socks and Jeans. Today, the socks that formerly cost $5.99 on sale, now cost $7 or more with JCPenney's new prices. So, $7+ $12= $19. Or, $7+ $14= $21.

But hey, if you like the new system, and new higher prices at JCPenney, more power to ya.

This is about the best deal thus far in 2012 I've been able to post for JCP...and other than 30% off their Gift Cards at GC resellers, I haven't had any reason to post a deal at JCP, cause there weren't very many if any at all.

If you bought 6 Pair of Arizona Jeans during the doorbuster price of $9.99 in 2007, used the $10 off $50 coupon, and used the 12% discounted JCPenney Gift Card from Plastic Jungle in 2007, you'd have paid $8.32 a pair without the 12% discounted JCPenney giftcard, and with a $50 Gift Card purchased from Plastic Jungle at the then 2007 discounted rate of 12% off, paid an effective $7.33 a pair for Arizona Jeans.

Don't get me wrong, we all appreciate the deals you find. If this is the best deal that you've found this year with JCPenney, then JCPenney really needs to rethink its pricing and [comical] "upscale" rebranding approach.

I realize you can't go back in time, and that Arizona Jeans are only carried at JCPenney, but JCPenney shot themselves in the foot by eliminating coupons. Today I was actually visited Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and decided to check out JCPenney. All of these stores are within an 1/8 mile radius.

Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls are very busy in terms of foot traffic, and there were decent lines at the checkouts.

On the other hand, JCPenney was had as much foot traffic as a Montgomery Wards store, a year before they went out of business. [and no lines at checkouts, because of the lack of customers].

Arizona Jeans are a good quality, working person's jeans--- not some hip, upscale jeans that JCPenney thinks they should be. If JCPenney founder James Cash Penney [yes, that's his real name] were still alive today, he'd be firing the new executives that are running this once great department store closer and closer to Chapter 11.
