Same deal as posted last month here. Does not start until Sunday 6/10.

Buy $50 worth of gift cards (anything except for Shoprite's own cards) from 6/10-6/16 at Shoprite (NY/NJ/CT/DE/PA chain) and get a $10 coupon on your next shopping order from 6/17-23. I've attached a scan on the ad but it's not all that readable.

If you have Chase Freedom and your Shoprite accepts credit cards for gift card purchases (mine does), they're giving 5% back on grocery purchases this quarter (limit $1500 in purchases). Buy gas gift cards, use them at stations that charge more for credit and you SHOULD be able to get the cash price. You can also buy assorted retailer's cards, iTunes, etc. While the terms say the limit is one, my experience last time was that you could do it as many times as you wanted and get multiple coupons. YMMV on whether it is different this time. Most likely, you can only redeem one coupon per transaction. It is possible that other chains will be running a similar special but check the fine print because last time they had this, it was only for select gift cards, not all cards like at Shoprite.

Official terms: Offer Valid 6/10-6/16/2012. Subject to availability, not all cards are in all stores. While supplies last. Excludes ShopRite gift cards. One coupon per customer.

REDEEM $10 Grocery Voucher 6/17-6/23 at any Shoprite Location.

** Stop & Shop and Giant have the same deal starting Friday 6/15 through 6/21 (extended for a second week). A&P has a similar deal but it's only valid on Applebees, Express, iTunes and Lowes gift cards.

Are phone cards returnable? I'd be interested in trying to get a T-Mobile card on this deal, now that you mention it.

I did it last month and got a Hess Gas Card.
However, Shoprite said it was tied to my Price Plus card and they said only one offer per Price Plus Card.

I did this 3 or 4 times last month and got a coupon each time. Others reported the same on other sites. The only thing you probably cannot do (based on other SR OYNO deals) is use more than one coupon in a single transaction.

Did you use the same Price Plus card on your 4 gift card purchases? And did all 4 coupons worked on future grocery shopping?

I made multiple purchases using the same shoprite card without an issue. only used 1 coupon per transaction though and worked fine.

crazypalooza said:   I made multiple purchases using the same shoprite card without an issue. only used 1 coupon per transaction though and worked fine.Same for me. Only problem I had was that the coupons beeped and required an override when using them for some reason. But that was due to their problems, not buying more than one.

Also, depending on your cashier, you might be able to use the coupons the same week you purchase the cards, even though it says it's only valid the following week.

Stop & Shop has the same deal starting Friday 6/8 through 6/14. A&P has a similar deal but it's only valid on Applebees, Express, iTunes and Lowes gift cards.

This will be great for buying back to school clothes for my kids...thanks!

Bill: that is incorrect, while the picture only shows those 4 it works on all but stop&shop gift cards... just tested it myself today. Also fyi, tested both stop&shop & shoprite on multiple purchases with the same rewards card and no issues.

I said that S&S's offer was the same as Shoprite's (I did just notice a typo, I had "as" instead of "has"). A&P's was limited to 4 specific cards.

And I fixed your top posting so people would be able to follow the discussion.

i stand corrected. your right i read your post wrong.

I don't know how Stop Rite keeps their unactivated gift cards, but read this before you buy AMEX Gift Cards.

Thalaivar said:   I don't know how Stop Rite keeps their unactivated gift cards, but read this before you buy AMEX Gift Cards. They keep them out on the floor as the vast majority of retailers do. I haven't had problems with the gas gift cards I purchased last month, but of course those are not as lucrative a target as MC/Visa/AMEX cards are.

Great post thanks

Details on other gift card OYNO deals are here. For some reason, the Shoprite & S&S deals are not listed, but A&P is.

Grear deal. Just bought a gas card. I will try to buy another with my SR card and see if it prints out another ccoupon. If not, I'll just return the card.

My daughter bought 4 sets of cards last night and got 4 coupons. And I doubt you can return a gift card after you purchase it, even if the coupon did not print.

Stop & Shop and Giant have extended the promotion another week, 6/15-21.

The S&S/Giant deal seems to be the easiest one, at least in my area. Large selection of gift cards, and you can use the $10 coupon immediately on the next gift card purchase. I just did it 4 times tonight with no problems at all, and all I have left is $10 to spend in the next week. And you can use S&S/Giant gift cards to buy the third-party cards.

Are Visa/Mastercard/AMEX cards part of the deal?

I went to a Giant in Maryland. I only bought store gift cards, but there's a picture of a Visa gift card, among others, in the ad for the sale week that starts today.

They are part of the deal, but there is an activation fee ($4.95 I believe)

Has anyone tried using these in the Virgin Mobile or other pay-as-you-go phone card? They place them on the same rack, but I am not sure it qualifies for the coupon.

There was a post in another thread saying that Giant was no longer issuing the $10 coupon for gas gift cards. I purchased $50 of non-gas cards and got a coupon but then bought $25 gas and $25 iTunes and did not. The customer service person told me it was limit one coupon per card per day, but I think it was the gas card. In any event, she gave me the $10 but I did not make any more gift card purchases.

They changed it locally (Giant)...one gift card offer per household, cannot use ANY coupon to purchase them (whether the $10 you get or any other $ off coupon), and the offer doesn't apply to ANY gas card as well as Giant cards.
