Thanks for your help. I figured something was wrong because I didn't get that message. I will have to talk to customer service tomorrow..

Is this confirmed that this can be done over and over? Is it once per day per club card number?, or it can be unlimited?

I just redeemed my second $10 credit. Don't know if there is any daily limit.

Monday: I bought the $50 Staples gift card. 20 minutes later tried to buy $10.xx in groceries and it didn't come off. It was never loaded in the first place.
Tuesday: I called customer service and they verified that I did make the qualifying purchase, but it wasn't loaded. They manually loaded, but said it may take a day to be loaded. I didn't try later that day to see if it was loaded or not.
Wednesday: I go back to purchase $10.98 in groceries and it doesn't come off. I call customer service and they confirmed that the $10 credit was loaded onto the account the day before. She asked me if I was still at the store, and I said I am. She instructed me to hand the phone over to someone in customer service and she was going to have them hand me $10. I handed my cell phone to the lady at self check and phone customer service lady told her to give me $10 in cash..
So now I have $10 in cash, and it is still loaded to my card. Don't know how to get it off though. I might have to try a different store. I think this particular store is the problem..

nvm... Shouldn't it be OYNO?You're right - I saw it spelled ONYO once and now I never spell it right. I'll have to find some way to justify pronouncing OYNO instead of the easier ONYO.
"on-yo?"
"oy-vey!"
"oy-no."

I showed the ad to the clerk and she said I probably need to wait 24 hours for it to load to my card. Do I really need to wait longer than 20 minutes, or did I just get screwed on this one?
I went through line once... rang up Lowes card and paid. Then rang up groceries and $10 was deducted. Less than 2 minutes between transactions.

Quoting myself. I found the problem was what gift card I was buying. Only certain Staples gift cards work. This information was in the thread at SD, but not posted here so I will share.
DOES NOT WORK: $50 Staples Gift Card (white background; Giant Easy Button in center) - UPC 76750 05012.
DOES WORK: $50 Staples Gift Card (green background; Easy Button in center) - UPC 076750 01586
DOES WORK: $50 Staples Gift Card (purple birthday present) - UPC 076750 01586

For people who have $10 loaded to the card, but not getting discount at the checkout: any ineligible item including liquid dairy blocks the discount.
Anyone know if at Stop&Shop, one can: -buy more than one in a day? -use the coupon to purchase the next one? -pay with a credit card?
Thanks!

Thanks! I can answer for Giant, which is likely to be the same. In my experience, in theory the answer is yes to all, but YMMV. I've gotten 4 cards in a row without a problem, but then at other times, in both the same and other store branches, I've had the following happen: The cashier said I couldn't pay with a credit card, only debit or cash (the manager corrected that cashier); the coupon didn't get generated at all (I have no idea why); I was told that the sale only applies to the 4 gift cards pictured in the ad (believe it or not); I was told I couldn't pay with a Giant gift card (which I'd done before); the coupon machine was jammed (try to get them to check it before you start). In all cases, I either did not go through with the sale, or if I had already made the purchase, the manager eventually gave me cash in place of the coupon. Bottom line, if the coupon machine doesn't work for any reason, the manager may or may not give you a hard time. But on the other hand, it can all go really smoothly to buy multiple cards in a row with no issue. Good luck!

Thanks for your detailed response. I believe what you describe was true for most people until 2 days ago. Then things changed day-before yesterday, and even more yesterday.
I am looking for the current situation because I intend to drive 70 miles to my nearest location, and don't want it to be a wasted trip.

I am looking for the current situation because I intend to drive 70 miles to my nearest location, and don't want it to be a wasted trip. Pretty much everything I described happened on Monday or Tuesday night. Last night, once we resolved the payment issue -- I used a credit card -- and once the manager told the cashier she could take the $10 coupon for the next order, everything went smoothly from a technical standpoint. The coupons were generated, and the register took them for the next gift-card purchase. I only bought two, and in fact it was using a different Giant card than my other purchases, so I don't know if there's a daily or other limit in place now.
If you do decide to drive 70 miles, I would recommend having a few stores in mind to try, in case you get a difficult manager. It's definitely YMMV at this point.
