I had the same pair offered to me in a parking lot for $6, this is not hot or even close. This site is also not a authorized reseller, so I smell a personal promotion here (which will be reported).

Personal promotion? Are you kidding me? Google crowdcut. It's one of the many Groupon copycats. You don't like the deal? That's fine (at least I'm trying), but don't libel my character.
This is not a personal promotion. I got this offered to me via email this morning too from yipit (daily-deal sites aggregater). I was debating whether to post it, but couldn't tell whether these were real or not, so I chose not to. Given that places like 6pm.com occasionally sell real Oakleys/Raybans/etc for cheap it's not out of the question but I just wasn't sure.
Thanks Yuyak. I think it's way off base to accuse someone of a personal promotion when you would get the exact same link posted in the OP if you'd bothered to type the website into a new browser window yourself and navigate this Ray Ban deal.
polishdreamer said: These aren't real glasses & anyone that pays $50 for knockoffs is a sucker, personal promotion or not this deal is rotten. How are you so certain? Does Ray-Ban have a list of authorized sellers somewhere?
Just save the crowdcut ad in a pdf file and if it's not authentic, make a claim with CC company. Not a big deal at all.

Never heard of crowdcut, but had some frustrated experience with similar company on similar products. Used to order two pairs of raybans from "Saveology", which is also a "Groupon-like" company, they sent me emails twice to inform me that the things I ordered are delayed by supplier. After more than a month, they encouraged me to cancel the order and give me the refund without any compensation. Bad shopping experience with this stupid copycat company. Just a feedback here. Buyers, do some research before you order low-price items on similar sites!

Did anyone ever think that they want your credit card information to market crap & spam you?? I get more emails related to sites I have visited & realize that they're sending my information out to make money.
Dial 1-866-4RAYBAN & ask if this is a authorized seller, otherwise you have no warranty / these are fake.

CrowdCut is legit and their customer service is far better than either Groupon or LivingSocial.

Sounds great, are they an authorized reseller of Ray bans?? If they are not, you have no warranties without a valid receipt from an authorized reseller. It also means that these are not real.

This Ray Ban is confirmed to be FAKE. The reason it takes 2-4weeks is because they order them from China for few bucks. If you make a complaint, they will refund you without asking back for the glasses.
Although Polishdreamer was right about it being fake the whole time, these scammers make money by people who don't raise issue of its authenticity. Buy these for $5 and sell for $50 (minus $10-15 crowdcut fee). $30 profit minus any complaints. If 1 out of 5 purchase do not make a complaint, these guys are in for a profit.

The website says, "No refunds unless product is damaged. If you receive a damaged product please contact support@crowdcut.com." If these are fake, seems like you'll have to take it up with your CC.
Has anyone confirmed these are real or fake?

It's the mortal lock of the week, why the heck would it take them a month to send you glasses?? $49 for a knockoff makes this whole thread a complete joke / spam, it's not hot.
Already confirmed from other site. These are fake and the seller did issue a refund without asking back for the glasses.

Even if they are real, does not matter. Ray Ban started to send "made in China" glasses to the US, and now it is almost impossible to find any Ray Ban that is not made in China. If a person finds value in buying $50 stuff from Made in China well more power to them.
On the other hand, for European and Asian markets Ray-Ban only sells "made in Italy" or "made in Japan" versions of their glasses. As an American consumer if this does not bother the consumer, then I think we deserve to go 3rd world with high unemployment and non improving economy.
I'm attaching a screen shot of the original Crowdcut email in case that helps anyone. I'll never shop through Crowdcut again since they support the sale fake products and do not stand by their promise of authentic products. I see on another city that they sold "$15 for Inspired by Ray-Ban Wayfarer and Aviator Sunglasses." They need to own up to their error/fraud. Disgusted.

Still waiting. I contacted my credit card company because crowndcut is fraudlulently selling fake ray bans when they're advertising authentic.
CrowdCut is supposedly sending emails today with tracking info...shades were stuck in customs.

Still no email from crowdcut. My credit card company issued me a refund and are going after crowdcut at this point. Crowdcut told me the same sappy story two weeks ago about customs too. Domt get stuck like me either. Call your credit card company. Maybe US Customs is holding the shipment from China to review the fake ray bans.
