It should be compatible. As far as I know, SATA III is backward compatible with SATA I/II. Just be aware that this SSD has a SandForce SF2281 controller and there are known BSOD issues with this controller, certain motherboards and Windows 7. I'm not sure if this specific drive has the issue or not.
