If you are looking for a relatively higher end AVR at a good price, this would be it. Something like this is probably overkill for most people though. If I was in the market, I'd be all over it.

To bad my ex hasn't moved out yet... Maybe I could ship it to my office....Hmm

Wow... soooo tempting. My 6+ year old Denon is still going strong, but it lacks any HDMI connections.

I should have known better Nope. Not at all. I think fatwallet is a perfectly good place to ask/discuss this kind of thing, as long as you do it respectfully (not "why would anybody be stupid enough to pay $xx.xx for [whatever]") and it's not something you can find out on your own very easily on google (like, "how much does [whatever] cost at Best Buy?" or "can someone look up the specs for me and post it?")
Anyway, I think this is a fantastic deal. I was thinking of getting the new 2113ci, but that's kind of hard to pass up on.

Very tempting...I've been holding out for a Pioneer Elite SC-XX model with class D amplification (I want a cool running amp), but missed the deal from Costco.com a year ago. I might just give up the wait for another deal and hop on this one. I'm currently running a very old Pioneer 115w X 2 receiver from 1992 to power my Polk RTI10s.

It's hard to find a receiver with 2 hdmi out this far under a $1k. I had a Denon 3805 then got in on the Costco deal for the Pioneer Elite SC-35 with 2 hdmi out. If I didn't get the Elite, I would've bought this without thinking twice. Great price!

Thank you OP. This is a great deal for anyone looking for a great receiver. The lowest price before this was $625 few weeks ago and this is the best price. Do you know what set of speakers would go best with this?
I also read only rave reviews about Audyssey Multi EQ XT and auto setup. I am no audiophile but would like the best performance from the receiver and this auto setup seems like gives exactly that where it setups up the audio according to the room
Excellent thread to read more about 3312 --- AVS Forum Discussion Link (Chrispitude, you just beat me by a minute)
Pulled the trigger. Damn FW!!! Now I have to research and understand all the features

How does this compare to the Yamaha VX-R867 and the Denon 2809ci?

Great price. For lots of information on these units, see:

As an 867 owner, I'd say on the surface the difference is in the amp and the fact the Denon has one of the more advanced Audyssey programs. For its price, the 867 offers a lot, but it this is a upper-end Denon

Thanks, does anyone know if it's worth upgrading from a Denon 2809ci (also has Audessy XT), in regards to sound quality (I don't think it be using the network or multizone features)
I really don't need all the features of the 3312ci but after looking around I think I have to jump on this. From my search, here are prices on other models I was considering: 1913: $479 2312: $500 2113:$649
I think the 2113 is closest to having all the features I'd actually use, including the upcoming L=Spotify]/Spotify-coupons/#shopnow=http://www.spotify.com[/L] firmware update, but not really worth the $100 premium on top of this.

Tried to resist but gave up. I have an older Onkyo AVR with no HDMI or Audessy that I got in a refurb deal many years ago. It has served me well and I nearly jumped on the Onkyo 709 refurb deal yesterday for $443 but the reliablity issues that AVR had made me hesitate and it sold out. Though this is more, it is new and it seems more reliable. Thanks OP.

Use AMEX or Visa sig card and you'll be set for almost half a decade

Had to pull the trigger. I've been looking for a new receiver for about 6 months. Before I even saw this deal I decided I was going to buy Amazon gift cards from the Giant deal to finally get one. Just got back from Giant with my cards and placed the order. It was some what of a hassle, but worth $110 to me.
$550 (11 $50 Amazon gift cards) -$110 (11 $10 off next order coupons; promptly exchanged for Giant gift cards so no expiration date) ----- $440 for the new receiver shipped! (I'm counting the gift cards as cash since I'll use them for gas)
Awesome deal! Thanks again for the post. I can't wait to get it set up!

Yep, so few have the HD radio included! Don't know why? It was out long before 3D!

I suspect it might be due to the fact for a fixed location (e.g., not in a car) that the various IP music services/radio streams are more desireable for many folks. My music tastes are not served by my local radio station HD or not so it really doesn't mean much to me and I certainly would not pay any extra for it.
