store pickup is always free

red for your comment. did it occur to you that you get Cash Back if you do it this way? order online for instore pu? I haven't seen that this will be free delivery so can't go there yet.

also, these tv's fit into most cars/suv's, etc and don't weigh very much, so what's the big deal?

Are these any good? I'm still using flat tube Sonys...use them until they die even though they are massive.

the 50" has good specs. $499 is a great price for that size. I'd recommend taking out an extended warranty of some kind. Some credit cards double your warranty period, so if there's a year warranty it will double to two.

Not sure what BB charges for a 3 or 5 years warranty on these, but if it's reasonable, I'd get it personally.

For $150 more you get a Panny with another year warranty @ Costco.

Showing up as $229.99 in florida

I have used their 32" LED.. Total crap!

HAH just re-read the title.

Most folks will find other things to buy there, not just a TV.

If not in your local store, then $99 S&H at Costco.com which makes that deal extremely mild even with the warranty.

hilarious nomoney! thanks.

Get a 2 year warranty with Costco or 5 years for $99 more.

Or a friend with a membership.

Also, any reviews on the Insignia 50"?

Insignia is their house brand TV.

Geez, is it "Give Mr. C a Hard time" day? If so count me in... here goes:

Red for OP. Im in DC metro area, no power; can't use this deal. Thanks for reminding me that I have no power and it's hot. jerk.

My +$55 membership fee posts have become a running gag of sorts. Comes up most often in garbage bag posts for Staples but popped up in this thread due to a TV deal someone mentioned there. I can take the grief, used to it from some of the FW choir/peanut gallery.

This TV is terrible, so there's no chance of a deal here.

the 32" may be nothing great, but some people have commented the specs on the 50" are quite good.

Yeah, house brands really rock.

all depends who makes it for them. some can be pretty decent.

I'll take a Panny versus this any day, any model. Nice specs are only part of the picture.

Stop replying to him. He goes into every TV thread to say it sucks because he wants people to rate his thread higher. I think he believes that posters get paid for ratings or view counts.

The rest of us know that Insignia TVs are re-badged Samsungs, LGs, etc...

I have the 50". Great picture, no problems.

Yah, the Pannys are pretty nice. I own a couple Samsungys, but the Insignys are moving up in the world. The Elgees are ok, but Im saving up some loot so I can one day scoop one of those Pioneerys. They're nice. Sonys are meh, obviously.

Cool dialect Joe, english obviously isn't needed underneath most cars.

Props to OP, I have the 40" Insignia and could not be happier. Picture, sound, looks... all wonderful. This is a really good price. I might spring for one and pay the $100 more for a 4-year Black Tie(TX) Plan. Can't see getting much of a better deal anytime soon.

You could consider square trade warranty. They are priced better, especially when combined with their frequent 30% off coupons.

I usually shy away from house brands but we couldn't pass up the $399 Dynex 46" LCD TV at the end of last year and you know what? I love it. Sound is great, picture is great, and absolutely no problems. Dynex/Insignia seem to be pretty decent for the price - obviously you're not going to get bleeding edge technology and picture for $500 on a 50" TV so keep that in mind.

when i worked for best buy, the insignia LCD's were made by samsung, i don't know if that's still the case.

GM makes Chevrolet & Cadillac as well, just for the record.

Dont buy any warranty. This is fatwallet. Warranties are for suckers. 80 cents of every warranty dollar is pure profit. Itis a cheap Tv. Why waste 100 bucks on something like that. The prices go lower every year as we.. Use a credit card with additional warrenty protection.

In general that owuld be my choice also. I have Panasonic plasma, not that model though. Otherwise 500 is sharp.

Very nice review, seems they wrote it just the other day.

Okay, Mr Cheap in for one. The tube tv in my bedroom spontaneously shuts off until you unplug it, wait ten minutes and then plug it back in. Thank you!

Well I bought the 32" it has terrible picture quality Best Buy will see it again very soon.

If I could get everyone's attention, please. We're trying to create an atmosphere of joy, peace, and prosperity in the middle of the wild, wild, internet west. So, if you would, avoid verbal gunslinging. Otherwise, I have to go through the trouble of shooting down posts. And I'm way too lazy to want to do that. Thanks.
