see dazviking's Staples thread for 7/15. Limit 4 FAR on the HP photo. you'll need ONE MORE qual. SKU priced $12.04 or more to hit $50 on one receipt. Last time, some people combined the B&M with a Kiosk order on one receipt since the best priced SKU's were only avail online.

Why can't I find that thread? Tried search and looking at dazviking for recent posts.
HP Everyday 8.5"x 11" photo paper Limit 4 $9.99- 50¢ instant savings - $8.99 easy rebate = 50¢
So $8.49 x 4 = $37.96, meaning you would still need a $12.04 HP spend to qualify for the $15 gas card
$12.04 plus the $2.00 (for the 50 cents after rebate photo packs of paper) plus the tax and stamp doesn't make this a MM at all but just gets you an additional free pack of photo paper (which I don't use anyway).
So this really isn't much of a deal unless you actually use this photo paper. Am I reading this right? But I am sure this post will help someone out who actually uses the photo paper and could use an extra pack.

you're right Mr. V, didn't realize there was an instant savings involved. Your remainder # of $12.04 is correct.

Thank you for the math and Mr C for the post! I've been on no dates with Staples the last few weeks because of her recent not-so-fat weekly ads. Looks like date night is back on w/her next week LOL.

Will they count the pre-coupon price for this? If you pay for the paper with Rewards you could end up with a very small amount.
I did a quick lookup of the qualifying items from the rebate form, and they're in the $14+ range... buy one of the $17 items, use the coupon linked above, to get down to $12, which should put you right above $50 wyb 4 x 9.49 that are on Staples rebate next week.

Just keep in mind that last fall, when this similar rebate scenario was available, Young America started invalidating rebates because they claimed photo and brochure paper needed to be purchased. I was one who was never able to get YA to validate the rebate, I eventually was able to get HP to payout. So if you are going to buy HP filler you may want to add Brochure and Presentation paper to avoid hassle.

Dad, I remember that BS. Reading the fine print here: Buy $50 in eligible Original HP Brochure, Presentation and Photo Paper only (paper for large format printers not included, see eligible SKU list), complete the mail-in coupon form and mail with proofs of purchase and a copy of your receipt(s) to:
the SKU list should be the "qualifier", not the type of paper. Sounds like a bogus way to deny a rebate. Of course your advice to include one pack of present. paper with the 4 photo papers is a good suggestion to avoid hassle, but their denying a rebate when you bought $50+ of any qualifying SKU's (shouldn't matter which ones) is pretty bogus in my book

Sent mine in last week. Included 4 packs of Q8723A (the FAR stuff) and 1 pack of Q2509A-- both on the SKU list. It cost me a stamp, and may cost me a phone call and/or nastygram to get it paid. We'll see.

Got a "we're sorry" $10/50 via email from Staples, so I'm going to take a second dip into this offer with 4 boxes of current FAER photo paper and one more qualifying product.

I sent in a submission with 6 Q8723A's. I just got email saying that the rebate was valid.
The paper is FAR again at Staples starting tomorrow.

The paper is FAR again at Staples starting tomorrow.Yeah, but only limit 2 of the HP photo paper easy rebates this upcoming week. So a good bit less cost effective than last couple of times when it was 4.

From that site, I see _1_ of my offers in stage 3. The other one doesn't appear. May have to call them *sigh*

Called them... talked to a lady who apparently didn't do so well in grade school math class. For one submission, she kept INSISTING (more loudly each time) that my submission, which totaled $52.95 was MORE THAN the $50 requirement, wasn't enough to qualify. At one point, she actually said (and I use quotes here purposely), "You didn't meet the minimum $50 purchase requirement because you only spent $52.95." (Yes, she actually said that... which prompted me to write in my notes and circle it with a Sharpie.). For the second submission, she said she didn't know why it wasn't approved because it was "for $162.83" (which, oddly, she did NOT dispute was above the $50 purchase minimum requirement)... however, I attempted to correct her math here as well-- I bought 4x at $9.99, which extended to $39.96, and 1x at $14.99. She again insisted that the EXTENDED price needed to be 4x'd, thus jacking up the number way beyond what it actually was. On that one, it wasn't worth explaining her insane math problems more than once, so I let it go. Finally... today, I received _3_ GCs in the mail... I only submitted _2_ offers. I hate HP, and believe they should shut their doors... but it appears they're working hard on their end to do just that.
