Here's the list(ONLINE ONLY,must connect through Discover shopping portal and must use Discover Card). Note that fine print often disallows combining Cash Back with coupons, but I've never lost CashBack due to coupon use. Still YMMV.

nice convenience, but not a great deal when you consider they give "bonuses" at most merchants when you redeem for a gift card. ie, redeem $20--get a $25 Staples GC.
It's dollar for dollar at Amazon. no great shakes other than the convenience.

Plus I'd likely pay tax and/or shipping, so that would trim the savings, too. Just me, that's all. I just like that if you have $9.24 on your CB you can use it right now for something you're going to get anyway, and not count the pennies month after month, then apply and wait for the card. I used to wait for the $25 so I could just apply a statement credit, but when they jumped it to $50, forget it.

usually CashBack is limited upto $250 purchase. So you will probably get mere 0.25% CashBack on above $250. I haven't looked for this promotion though.

Or you can use your discover card straight up and earn more CashBack and then apply that CashBack as a statement credit - its pennies on pennies, but every little bit helps.

I have store giftcards to use. What happens if I pay for part of the purchase using the retailer's giftcard and the balance on my Discover card. Will I still get CashBack on the full amount?
Thanks!

YMMV on this. At least with Groupon, I always got paid out with Discover even if I used a gift card.

In the past, Lowe's and Wal-Mart gave me full CashBack on the purchases even the gift cards reduced the purchase amounts.
Amazon is usually cheaper than the B&M stores so it tends to balance out even with the bonuses.

Unlike coupons that reduce the actual price, gift cards are a form of payment. So one should get the full CashBack when using them.

Just make sure ShopDiscover actually pays your bonus. I had to call, then it took another 3 week after the first 8 weeks to get 5% on a large Brooks Brothers order during Christmas time.
This month I am noticing my 5% doesn't seem to add up either.

Huh. I could have sworn the T&C indicated that use of gift cards as any part of the payment for an order void completely void ShopDiscover CashBack for that entire order. And that's consistent with what I've seen this year; a large purchase in the beginning of the year at Lands End, on which I used a $25 gift card, got no ShopDiscover CashBack. And of the several Groupon orders I've made in the last year, two didn't receive CashBack, both instances in which I used a $5 credit. And looking in the T&C now, I don't see any such restriction. I'll have to give DiscoverCard a call...

Discover has a lot of restrictions when it comes to Groupon. Make sure you're buying the correct type of Groupon when trying to get CB at Discover. For example, I use Discover for regular Groupon purchases but use BigCrumbs for Groupon Now purchases.
