Been looking all last week and best new price for a 16GB was 299.

This is a NEW 32GB with the charging cradle for 265. I'm in.!

Almost jumped on this, but the locked bootloader made me pause... Jelly Bean is a real boon to older tablets like this one and I have zero confidence that Sony will provide it. That and the proprietary brick of a charger are huge negatives for me.

On the Sony forums someone talked to a CSR rep at Sony who told him that Jelly Bean was coming for the Tablet S towards the end of August, and that in September they were releasing a new quad core tablet to replace the Sony S at the same retail price point, but that the Remote Blaster was probably going away in order to keep the prices in line with the old Tablet S. Rooting looks to be pretty easy.

Dang, that is what I get for not touching my computer yesterday. Really want one of these, but have been waiting for a stellar deal. Oh, well hopefully another will come along.

Anyone have a recommendation on a case for this tablet. There are far fewer options for owners of this tablet because of its unusual (but great) design.

I've found a few ... was wondering if you could add to the pile of choices.

Bigger display is always better! Isn't it.

You would think so ... the Sony S uses a True Black display that looks great. The only complaint is that it lacks in screen brightness.

I have a tracking number with no additional information. I understand that some have received the cradle first and are still awaiting delivery of the tablet. Since there's only one tracking number in my case, hopefully that means I'll receive both the cradle and tablet in one shipment.
