Thats what I was reading from the similar products reviews that after an hour or so, the product get hot and shutdown by itself, then you have to hard reset etc.
any comments on that? Can you install other apps from the google play?

watch the video a few posts up, its the same device in the OP. Doesn't look slow at all.and better than buy a slowwww smart tv

This is the main use I would want for it. I imagine they could load, but I would want to know if they are lag-free or not.

These are awesome, but I did hear about an overheating issue with them. I wonder if it would help if you put them in front of a fan.

Beware of the wifi issue on MK808. i have mk802+,ug802,and mk808. The wifi issue is the worst on MK808, might have to go buy a usb Ethernet dongle soon. Latest firmware 10/26 made it slightly better, but not a good fix.

Connecting it directly to router makes this issue irrelevant correct? (I deboarded the techno-train in college)

Many of the TV stations have apps for watching their shows. I've used my androids in the past on websites without problems. I'm not sure if that's still possible with many sites and the new OS. Also, some of the Apps may not like the device.

I saw several Google Apps listed, but not Google Play? I wonder if it runs that, and is recognized, so you can download new apps without having to sideload them?
Also, I assume you can hook up a bluetooth or USB joystick and play games like ShadowGun from your couch? - that would be awesome!

It never gets hot, only when really stressed does it even get warm. It has a heatsink inside that is double the size of any of the other models I checked on and covers about 80% of the entire board inside it. Google Play works and you can install just about anything that doesn't specifically require only a touchscreen to run but Netflix and Skype and youtube and things like that all run perfectly. To make your android phone work as a wireless remote for the TV Box you install droidmote on the phone and the TV Box and that is it the phone becomes the remote control.
