I know we're all about cheap here, but some of these Chinese made cast iron pans are pure junk. Uneven surfaces; poor metal that leads to hot spots. Poorly seasoned.
For a few more dollars you can buy American made Lodge pans at Am-a zon or Wal- mart that will be near perfect and last forever if you care for them. Caveat emptor.
