You probably need to come early and stand in line to get the bracelet that in turn allows you the freebie. Old Navy is known to give excellent free stuff to the first so many people through the door.

FYI this is not the full game Old Navy is giving out. It is a demo disc with only a couple of levels riddled with Old Navy advertising through those levels.

Did you make that up? The ad says it's the full game $60 value.

Put down the crack pipe and read again. Nowhere does Old Navy mention anything about thei gift $60 value or even giving out the full version retail game. My teenage daughter works at Old Navy and brought home a stack of these yesterday. They explicity state they are not for resale limited play demos for Old Navy.

That would be a first - for the past three years I was in line on time to get a full game. Last year was Kinect games, and these were full retail sealed discs. The year before were Wii games - always have been full versions. I'm going to gamble that you'll be wrong.

Post some pictures. There'll be tons of pissed off people.

Two years ago they gave out LEGO rock band. That was the full game...

I've been to a few of these too and Old Navy does it right, they give out FULL versions of games. Or Brand new value items. We got the waterproof camera last year which was Brand new retail box like they bought them from Staples to give away, lol. And most times they will say minimum xx per store and then end up having xx + 10 or so, because they try to have a "suprise" for their customers.

Hello,

How does this thing work? Do you have to camp and get a ticketand such to get this game? I have never heard of this promotion at Old Navy during thanks giving, but since I see it now I want to know details. Despite the argument of Full version or Demo, I'd be contented just to evenplay the first 5 levels. Any tips on how to successfully attain one?

Which deal is the best?

It'd probably be a better deal if it were a demo disc. Those would probably be worth a lot down the road since they'd be so limited. That being said, I doubt Old Navy would put in the money to order something like that.

It will be a real game, but how many copies will be giving away?

Usually 50 per store. They hand out wristbands around 11:45 for a midnight opening, so you can go in and shop quietly for what you need.

Which of these other deals are great? For Men of course...

1. Find out for certain what time your store is opening (usually midnight) and if they are participating. A recent local ad should do it.

2. No need to camp. Just get there 30 minutes early. Bring a book or something to do while you wait. (Last year, 30 minutes late would have been fine, but this changes from year to year.)

3. As mentioned in the topic, employees will start handing out wristbands to everyone in line. (Sometimes they run out. Sometimes they don't.)

4. Just shop leisurely. When you check out, give the cashier your wristband and they will give you a free game.

Which other stores have freebies, excellent sales? Or which Old Navy sales?

Other stores with freebies:
H&M - scratch ticket
Sports Authority - $10-500 bonus bucks
toysrus - Toy bag with toys (probably 8pm thanksgiving day)
JC Penney (won't run out) - "chance to win" buttons
Petco - antlers or something, I think
7 Eleven - Free Coffee any size with Red Bull purchase
sure there's more

I found out the hard way, they handed out wristbands this morning. After I wait 30 minutes in the cold and rush inside and go to the cashier I find this out. 47 wristbands are all they handed out too.

Ended up being the first. Full game.

Just got back from the Myrtle Beach store. Waited there for 2 hours. There were 48 total. By 12, there had to be over 100 people there.

This would not have worked. You needed to be at the store here at least an hour and a half early.

For future reference, which store did you go to? I went to Cambridgeside Galleria in Boston last year and 30 minutes early was fine. I guess it varies by location. Sorry to hear you didn't get a game though.

Edit: No wait, you did get a game. Glad you showed up early.

Standing in line here in tualatin Oregon, I must be 50 ish back and I was here an hour early. There is a line around the store. I guess people want to buy actual clothes here?

This is the second time in last week he has been wrong about something. When I called him on it in the Sam's VIP thread, a mod deleted my post.

My wife waited at one of the Buffalo stores and was literally 1 person short after a 2 hour wait. Would have definately gotten one had it not been for the placeholders friends coming out of the woodworks at the last minute. Oh well.

Damn, I hate people now! I just got back from Old Navy, only store I went for Black Friday just for this game, and I failed. The funny part is I was there since 22:00 and the band was already out, sigh. I still waited until it opens, but still no luck. Ended up just going home. I feel so sad now . I know it's lame and I can just buy the game, but I was thinking of gifting the clothes and keeping the game !

This is the second time in last week he has been wrong about something. When I called him on it in the Sam's VIP thread, a mod deleted my post.

I proved him wrong in a thread about portable HDs. He claimed that "ALL" WD and Seagate USB3.0 portable drives require some special driver to be loaded in Windows to get full USB3.0 speed. I tested my Expansion 750GB HD in my HTPC with Windows 7 and an AMD USB3.0 port, and I had wiped the drive completely earlier, so if there were any special drivers on the disk then they were gone by then. It worked just fine, and at full speed. I benchmarked it, and it was 101MB/sec, which is way beyond USB2.0 speeds.

I've caught him spouting BS at least four times on this forum, if not more. I try to correct it when I see it.

I'm pained to hear that the mods have let his misinformation habit run amok, by deleting posts that correct him. I hope that doesn't happen to me.
