For those who don't get it - this monitor runs at 2560x1600 resolution. For those who don't get the importance of that, it can have four windows open at 1280x800. That means 4 spreadsheets, webpages, what have you. Also, as an IPS monitor, it can be calibrated to be fantastic for photography work.
These are professional monitors, designed for professional work. Anytime you see them sub 1k, it tends to be a hot deal.
There are 30" 2560x1600 monitors coming out of korea for around 700 shipped, but I am not sure I would trust em' for photography work.

This is alive again (been checking every day since it went away). Used the two $75 promo cards with the buy 2 x $400 GC (now expired) and then stacked with the AMEX twitter $150 off $599 and then they gave me Dell Advantage. Fantastic deal!
$762.43, though now I'm stuck with my gift cards since I had to pay with AMEX.

Yeah it does not shop up at $999 lets say you get the 4 year warranty = $1060 -150 is $910.
Dell Gift Card so if you get two $500 gift cards... that would be 1080$ you could use that would bring the price down to $730. Hopefully the 30" monitor goes to $999
