WOW! Thanks for posting this! I just bought two more.
I bought a POGO-B01 a year ago and have been using it with a laptop harddrive connected through the internal SATA connector. It was an easy mod. Works wonderfully as a small linux server. Small, quiet, cool, and low power.
Also search online for things like "POGO-B01 linux", etc. for more on what you can do with these.

No I have these, and while I haven't tried more than a few people at a time, I almost always have 3 people using my pogo network (for personal / business filesharing).
I think there are some major CPU horsepower bottlenecks (Wouldn't support video streaming on a very large scale)
but if you're looking to own your own dropbox without any recurring fees, I don't see anything simpler or easier.
I'll be picking up a few more of these today.

Actually, I've gotten a pretty mixed bag with these. I can't tell if they're the SATA or not, but all of these I've picked up recently have been missing the SATA port entirely.
Usually there's a pattern or a manufacturer date you can use with consumer electronics to figure this out, but so far I haven't seen any information.
(Just saying I wouldn't buy this hoping for a SATA port, they seem to have sold out already in my experience)

This is a far better choice if you are looking for more features
These are two completely different things. The mk802/mk808 are clients whereas the pogoplug would be a server. They do work great together though. The android pogoplug app + mxplayer work much better than Netflix on android (and about the same as a rokubox in my experience).

If your pogoplus device is included in the pogoplug's cloud space your internet speed must be high enough to make it useful. I have verizon 15/5M plan but downloading the stuff from the pogoplus device via internet is super slow. The device is still in my closet. That means it is useless. Instead of using pogoplug you can set up a FTP server.
