FYI everyone this does NOT have to be activated on Virgin Mobile's service unless you want it to be.

1) This phone can ONLY be used on Virgin Mobile if you want to activate it. No Page Plus, no Verizon, no Sprint, no ATT, no Straight Talk NOTHING else. This would only be possibly with flashing which we are not going to talk about here.
2) This phone does have a sealed battery but I have personally sold two dozen of them never had a problem with the battery as of yet.
3) This phone is running Android 4.0 I have had a pretty easy time to mod & use rom's on the device.

got in on one. coverage here is iffy, bought a Optimus V last year at Target, had 1 bar. I can always return in 30 days, but hoping the coverage got better. Great deal! Still waiting for CashBack notice.

I am a GSM guy and have no experience with CDMA. It appears Sprint has much better coverage than Virgin. If so, can this phone be used on Sprint network? What are the pros and cons? TIA

That's not possible because Virgin Mobile is on the Sprint Network!!!!!!

I used to have Virgin Mobile and the coverage was AWFUL. The only place I would get coverage was at my home, it rarely worked anywhere else. So unless you live in the smack middle of a large city, you would be better off with AT&T or Verizon.

For example, you can get AT&T and Verizon on Straight Talk & Net10 for $45/month for unlimited everything. That's what I am using and it's far superior to Virgin Mobile.

But I did buy the HTC One V to use with the hotspot I have with Net10.
