I just got my 12" Cal king mattress. It is expanding right now and I dont smell anything too funky. The box it came in is about 4' x 2' x 2' and weighed 115 lbs if you want to be prepared.

Verdict: They're pretty doggone firm. Not overly clammy but it's still winter with a 65 thermostat. Seems like it's breathing ok. It's an upgrade on the spring mattress it replaced but it might be a little too firm for a side sleeper, it really compresses your shoulders.
