good deal. just a note this does not have 3D. I think I was going to pick this up on BF, but the no 3D was a let down.

3D is a giant scam, except for Avatar I haven't seen a single movie where the 3D was decent. Studios aren't even doing a decent job of putting 3D into movies.

3D isn't a scam if you're a gamer, but yeah, if you get it for movies, it's almost useless. Pretty much any computer game that came out in the past 10 years will run in 3D though. I have one of the Mitsu DLP TVs that does support 3d and it works great

As we saw 60" LCD for under $1000 this black Friday, I'm waiting for these DLP to get to $599 Plus I do want 3D compatibility and more than 2 HDMI ports.

I agree, however the BF deals were even better than that. We had 60" LCD's at Sears for less than $700 and 60" LED's for less than $700. And we still currently have 60" LED's for under $1000. The HDMI ports wouldn't be an issue for everyone since you can go through your receiver.

Have to disagree. Watch a lot of 3-D on Directv.. college football (actually 5-D), MMA, nature specials, movies.. I have a 3D 73" Mits, and a 3D 118" projector screen. Video stores are even carrying some 3D titles. Great way to watch a movie the 2nd time. Loved nightmare before xmas in 3D, UP in 3D and of course who can forget Piranha 3D DD !!

(Off topic, just ordered the 3d glasses and emitter ($40 total!)for my different model Mitsub. Can't wait for delievery and trying them out.)

Most mits 3d ready sets have firmware update so you don't need an emitter any more.
